Hot is a relative term, but in light of the coronavirus epidemic, the 2020 Subaru Forester is the hottest vehicle in the stable. See how few days Forester spends on dealer lots.
The coronavirus epidemic is taking a big toll on all automakers. Subaru of America recently reported a sales drop of 47 percent in March and it’s all because of the COVID-19 health crisis shutting down many dealers and people are under stay-at-home orders in many cities across the U.S. Torque News reported in February, the 2020 Subaru Forester compact SUV shot ahead of the best-selling Outback to take the lead in sales.
In February, and now March, the vehicle continues its hot pace.

According to data from Kelly Blue Book, the newly-redesigned Subaru Forester is number four on the list of models so hot they are out of stock. New Forester models only spend an average of 21.2 days on dealer lots before they are sold. Forester ranks only behind the all-new Hyundai Palisade (18.7 days), Mercedes-Benz G-Class (16.5 days), and Kia Telluride (13.0 days).
The Forester is a compact SUV but because of its taller stance, the cabin feels roomier than the competition. When we tested the all-new fifth-generation model last year, we found the interior had an increased sense of space over the outgoing model. Its cabin volume grew in almost all areas. Forester also comes with plenty of high-tech features including Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, standard all-wheel-drive, improved fuel economy, EyeSight driver-assist technology, and improved ride quality because of its new Global Platform it rides on.
The 2020 Forester Sport trim could be the best value proposition among all the Subaru models. It comes standard with an all-weather package, which is a must for those living in cold-weather climates and comes with additional drive modes and a two-mode X-Mode system that enhance the Forester's off-road capabilities. It is also the least expensive trim available with a blind-spot monitor.
We think the 2020 Subaru Forester is a good choice and is more fuel-efficient than most of its front-drive competitors, Toyota RAV4 and Honda CR-V. Now Subaru needs to bring a Forester Hybrid and it would be even more popular.
