Outside, it gets black-finish 18-inch wheels and a black rear roof spoiler, and orange accents. Inside, the Sport features a dark gray material with orange stitching and accents. The Sport also features dual-function X-Mode for increased capability off-road and in extreme weather conditions.
The Sport also has blind-spot detection, lane change assist, and rear cross-traffic alert.
Forester Wilderness is designed for customers who want to get further off the grid.
It offers 9.2-inches of ground clearance, longer coil springs and shock absorbers, Yokohama Geolander all-terrain tires, a full-size spare tire, more prominent wheel cladding, and ladder-type roof rails that can support up to 800 lb. for using a rooftop tent. The Wilderness trim has water-resistant StarTex seating surfaces, all-weather mats, and a cargo tray for carrying outdoor gear.

There is one 2024 Subaru Forester trim you should avoid
We recommend not buying the 2024 Forester base trim level. Here’s why.
The 2024 Forester base trim features a smaller 6.5-inch touchscreen, X-Mode, and Hill descent control are not available, four-wheel disc brakes are not available, it comes with 17-inch steel wheels, 18-inch wheels are not available, fog lights and LED fog lights not available, the all-weather package (windshield wiper de-icer, heated side mirrors, heated front seats) is not available, and raised roof rails not available.
The 2024 Subaru Forester base trim is not a good value for compact SUV shoppers. The better buy would be the Forester Premium, which offers all those features excluded from the Forester base.
