The Subaru WRX STI just became the fastest WiFi hotspot in the world. Where can you get one?
What’s better than going fast in a rally-bred Subaru WRX STI? Going fast and keeping your passengers connected to a WiFi hotspot in the car while on the go. The Subaru WRX STI is a fast performance car and now it’s the fastest WiFi hotspot in the world. Where can you get one? If you live in the UK, you can get a new Subaru WRX STI fitted with WiFi and keep your passengers connected and entertained. Subaru UK is now offering the Subaru WRX STI with mobile WiFi from the EE until the end of June
No more boring road trips
UK performance enthusiasts can now have their passengers connect all their devices that use Wi-Fi technology in the rally-bred WRX STI including video-game consoles, smartphones, digital cameras, tablet computers, and digital audio players, perfect for keeping passengers entertained on a road trip. It won’t be boring sitting in the back seat on those long trips anymore.
While you are on the move, the mobile in-car system allows multiple devices to be connected to WiFi with 30GB download allowance and a large enough battery for 24 hours of streaming. Subaru UK also has special pricing on the STI making it a better value with a 3,999 (British Pounds) deposit and a monthly payment of 399 over 48 months at 6.6 percent APR.
No WRX with WiFi in the UK
Performance enthusiasts in the UK only have the WRX STI high-performance sedan to purchase with WiFi and not the sport-tuned Subaru WRX. Subaru UK decided to drop the milder WRX from the lineup due to declining sales back in 2013. It seems the new-generation STI is the performance model that sells best in the UK. The Brits do get the Levorg 1.6 GT-S sports tourer, while U.S. fans can only look and not touch that sporty hatch. The rally-bred WRX STI is still Subaru's performance flagship.
The Subaru WRX STI has a rich history in the UK and it's still winning races there. David Higgins dominated the Rally GB last year in the UK in the new-generation Subaru WRX STI. They won the rally stages against much faster cars in what is essentially a slightly modified showroom STI. Group N (NR4) specification allows for a few safety modifications like a roll-cage, fuel cell, seats and belts. The cars livery honored the late Colin McRae. More on Page 2.
The 2018 WRX STI gets performance upgrades
The newly-redesigned 2018 WRX STI performance sedan hasn’t arrived on European shores yet, but when it does, it will be the best-handling, best-performing example the Japanese automaker has ever built. It gets revised suspension tuning, new Brembo brakes with larger cross-drilled rotors, new 19-inch wheels, Recaro performance seats, and LED Steering Responsive Headlights.
Before the 2018 Subaru WRX STI arrives, the current STI comes fitted with WiFi, a 305hp turbocharged Boxer engine and Symmetrical all-wheel drive and priced at 31,995 (British Pounds). If you live in the UK, you can buy the fastest WiFi hotspot in the world. It’s available until the end of June.
