What are the new Subaru models coming in the next four years? The information not made public by Subaru of America covers the last quarter of 2021 through the 2025 model year.

BRZ redesign

Forester Wilderness
The Forester joins the Subaru Wilderness sub-brand as the automaker strives to improve on its off-road image. The 2022 Forester Wilderness is now the second rugged model to join the lineup, and the compact SUV will be a massive hit with outdoor enthusiasts.

When will the 2022 Subaru Forester and Forester Wilderness arrive in U.S. showrooms?
Subaru did not announce when the 2022 Forester will arrive on U.S. shores, but our sources say it could be early next year. Recent plant closures in Japan have delayed the U.S. launch. Stay tuned.

When will the new 2022 WRX arrive in the U.S.?
The next-generation 2022 Subaru WRX will be available in Subaru showrooms in early 2022. Subaru of America has not announced pricing on the new fifth-generation WRX Stay tuned.
The WRX STI gets a complete redesign
The 2023 Subaru WRX STI gets a complete redesign, and Subaru Corporation is now working on the next-generation STI. The 2023 Subaru WRX STI will arrive next year with a 2.4-liter turbocharged Boxer engine, tuned by Subaru Tecnica International. If reports are accurate, its new 2.4-liter turbocharged Boxer engine will produce close to 400 horsepower.
The high octane 2.4-liter 2023 Subaru WRX STI will announce the STI in the first half of 2022 and will make its debut in the fall of 2022.
2022 - second half
Crosstrek redesign
The 2023 Crosstrek will get a complete remodel, Subaru of America will get a new Crosstrek Wilderness rugged model to fill out the new sub-brand in North America. The all-new Crosstrek Wilderness will come in early 2023.
Impreza sedan/hatchback redesign
The 2023 Subaru Impreza gets a complete redesign. The next-generation 2023 Impreza will likely come with the new EyeSight X driver-assist safety technology. Recent reports not confirmed by Subaru say the compact car could get a new 1.5-liter turbocharged engine. The all-new Impreza will come in early 2023.
Ascent freshen
The Ascent SUV was scheduled to be refreshed for its 2022 models, but the family hauler will now get new upgrades as Outback and Legacy for the 2023 model year.
The 2023 Subaru Ascent will come with a refreshed exterior and interior, but we don't expect any changes to the engine and drivetrain.
The Solterra EV SUV
The 2023 Subaru Solterra is the Japanese automaker's first-ever all-electric model and is taking a slow approach to electrification along with Toyota. Subaru will limit the battery-electric Solterrac availability to U.S. states that have adopted California's ZEV Emissions program.
The all-new 2023 Subaru Solterra all-electric SUV's global debut is coming early in 2022 with a mid-year launch.
2023
The 2023 Subaru Outback and Legacy get a refresh. Like the 2023 Subaru Ascent, the 2023 Outback and Legacy will come with a refreshed exterior and interior and won't bring any changes to the engine and drivetrain.
2024
The 2024 Subaru Forester gets a complete remodel and could be fitted with a new 1.8-liter turbocharged Boxer engine coupled with Toyota hybrid technology. Subaru could give the Forester a 2.4-liter turbocharged engine to replace the 2.5-liter naturally-aspirated Boxer engine. Subaru has not confirmed the 2024 Forester information.
2025
Both the Subaru Outback and Legacy will get a complete redesign for the 2025 model year. Subaru announced the new Japan-spec 2022 Outback, and it's powered by the new 1.8-liter direct-injection turbocharged Boxer engine.
Subaru could use its new 1.8-liter turbocharged direct-injection (DIT) engine in the next-generation 2025 Outback and Legacy for U.S. customers. Subaru will couple the small turbocharged engine with hybrid technology they are now developing with Toyota.
Subaru has not confirmed the 2025 Outback information, but it fits with their goals and the Japanese automaker's 2020 Vision plan they announced earlier. Stay tuned.

I used to be a certified salesman in crabtree subaru in CT back in 2004. It saddens me to see my favourite company getting trashed because of CVT. When will subaru policy makers realize that the CVT is destroying the brand. Please get rid of it and bring back the glory days.
It seems that the CVT does
It seems that the CVT does what Subaru wants it to do in the non-performance models. My 2016 Crosstrek 2.0L/CVT can average 40+MPG per tank. It's only EPA-rated for 32-33 hwy.
I haven't had any issues with the CVT, and at least Subaru uses a chain. That said, it IS boring, although the paddle-shifters are nice to have. Acceleration in a heavy little 2.0L/CVT Crosstrek is glacial, so I would love to see something like a Wilderness or WRX Crosstrek...with a 2.0-2.4T/6spd. Skids and adjustable coilovers could make it ready for rally, offroad, or commute.
Boost is beast at high altitude. Subaru could kick butt with the mountain-loving crowd, and they already produce the parts.
I am driving 2019 ascent
I am driving 2019 ascent touring without any problem at all. Have already 43K on it.
I am looking for completed new generation of this model Subaru. One complain:
2.4 turbo is not strong enough for such a large vehicle. One or two person with a very small cargo can give you aprox 23.5 MPG on Hwy on speed 75MPH. City is between 19-20 MPG max. This car need stronger engine with better torque on lower RPM. Before I had Outback 3.6R and I could kiss a hood of this car for performance. This engine was awesome : low RPM on hi speed and quieter of course then 2.4 turbo on ascent. For car with a price 47+ K you expecting something much better and more comfort. This is not general complain, because as I said on beginning I love this car, that's only my observation , aha one more: I would like to have touring with middle bench like 8 pass not for 7 pass with quad seats.

If you want more power from
If you want more power from the 2.4T, a tune can probably get you there for reasonable expense.
Also, at 75MPH, even my frugal little Crosstrek doesn't always average EPA-estimated MPG. At 70MPH it can exceed it with stock-sized tires, but with 1" taller tires it averages about the EPA rating of 32-33MPG when near sea level and using "summer" gasoline.

Do not compare with Crostrek, I am talking about large wheels I know Crostrek very well, was my wife favotite veh.
For exp. CHEVY AVALANCHE 2002 with 5.3L V8 engine gave me with tiny improvement 20 MPG on hwy on speed 75 mph then I can expect from hi tech veh like Ascent better Mpg.

Are you joking? The new FA24F that debuted in the Ascent obliterates the 3.6 H6. Here's my Ascent racing an Outback 3.6R. Even though the Outback is literally a half ton lighter, I obliterated it.
