Check this report on where you can get a used Subaru Crosstrek the cheapest. Used Crosstrek prices are falling in one U.S. City. Find out where here.
Where can you buy a used Subaru Crosstrek the cheapest? A new study from iSeeCars reveals that while used Crosstrek prices are up across the U.S., there is one city where used Subaru Crosstrek prices have dropped.
iSeeCars checked the 50 largest U.S. metro areas and found that in St. Louis, MO, a lightly used one-to-five-year-old Subaru Crosstrek is selling for less than anywhere else.
It’s hard to find a used Subaru Crosstrek anywhere because demand is high, and the hot Crosstrek has the highest resale value of any subcompact SUV. According to Kelley Blue Book's (KBB) 2023 Best Resale Value Awards, ten new models are the best, and the 2023 Crosstrek is Subaru's best model.
The 2023 Subaru Crosstrek scores the best in the Subcompact SUV segment and is a top ten best model winner. The Subaru Crosstrek also won the best resale value award last year. So it’s not easy to find a good used model at a good price.
iSeeCars analyzed over 1.8 million used cars from June 2022 and 2023. The average listing prices of each car model were compared between the two time periods, and the differences were expressed as both a percentage difference from the 2022 price as well as a dollar difference.
Subaru Crosstrek has the largest year-over-year price drop in St Louis, MO with a price change of -2.2% percent in June, 2022 which was $736 less than the U.S. average price. Now, Crosstrek prices in St. Louis have dropped by 17.5 percent in June 2023 and are $5,149 less than the previous year.
What does KBB say?
"The Subaru Crosstrek is a solid choice in subcompact SUVs. If you want something efficient and affordable but also something that stands out from the crowd, the Crosstrek has the quirks you want and the practicality you need. It has a generous list of standard safety tech features and is an IIHS Top Safety Pick.”
“On top of being a sensible car for the daily commute, it's not afraid to get dirty. Thanks to standard all-wheel drive (AWD), 8.7 inches of ground clearance, and off-road features like X-Mode, the Crosstrek is one of the best off-roaders in its class.”
Should you buy a new 2024 Subaru Crosstrek?
The Crosstrek is a perennial winner in resale value, and now it's a top ten best resale value winner. It's another reason the Crosstrek was Subaru of America's best-selling all-wheel-drive vehicle in the lineup last year.
What is the price of a 2024 Subaru Crosstrek?
For 2024, the Crosstrek will be available in Base, Premium, Sport, Limited, and Wilderness trim levels and has a starting price of $26,290 (the same MSRP as the 2023 Base model equipped with the Lineartronic CVT automatic transmission).
The 2024 Crosstrek Premium has a starting price of $27,440, Sport ($30,290), and Limited ($32,190). Pricing includes destination and delivery fees ($1,225).
What is the price of the Crosstrek Wilderness?
The all-new Crosstrek Wilderness costs $33,290, including dealer destination and delivery fees ($1,295).
Because used Crosstrek prices are high, it’s not good for 1-5 year old lightly used Crosstrek buyers. The resale value stays higher than any other Subaru model. But if you are willing to travel, you can save money in St.Louis, MO.
