Subaru Canada announces pricing and a new special edition 2017 Subaru Crosstrek. It’s called Crosstrek 火山Kazan Edition available only in 2017.
What makes this model special?
Subaru didn’t release many details on the Crosstrek 火山Kazan Edition, but it looks a lot like the Pure Red U.S. special edition 2017 Crosstrek. That model comes splashed with the “Pure Red” color all over the exterior. It also comes with matching foldable mirrors with integrated turn signals.
The U.S. Pure Red crossover features more red colors with red stitching accents on the leather-wrapped shift lever handle, steering wheel and door panels. Other features unique to this model includes red interior dash trim with a black inlay. Also, red interior ambient lighting creating a soft red glow onto the front floor area and storage space below the climate control greets you upon entering the cabin.
2017 Crosstrek pricing announced
The price on the Crosstrek 火山Kazan Edition will start at $26,495 (Canadian) for the 5-speed manual gearbox model and $27,795 for trims equipped with the Lineartronic CVT automatic transmission.
Pricing on the other 2017 Crosstrek trims were also announced. Crosstrek Touring starts at $24,995 (5MT) and $26,295 (CVT). Crosstrek Sport starts at $27,395 (5MT) and $28,695 (CVT). Crosstrek Sport with Technology Package starts at $29,895 (CVT). Limited trims start at $29,795 (5MT) and $31,095 (CVT). Limited with the Technology Package, $32,295 (CVT).
Standard all-wheel-drive
All Crosstrek trims come standard with Subaru’s symmetrical full-time All-Wheel Drive. In the trims equipped with a 5-speed manual gearbox, power is distributed 50/50 front to rear through a viscous-coupling limited-slip differential. In Lineartronic CVT automatic models, an electronically controlled multi-plate transfer clutch AWD system actively manages power distribution based on acceleration, deceleration and available traction. Under normal driving conditions, power is distributed 60/40 front to rear.
The new 2017 Subaru Crosstrek gets a new Special Edition 2017 Crosstrek 火山Kazan available only in Canada. If you notice something missing, it’s the Crosstrek Hybrid. It’s been dropped in North America. Read why Subaru quietly axed the hybrid model.
