The 2023 Subaru BRZ is the bottom dweller in Subaru of America's lineup, but a new trim level creates excitement for the rear-drive sports car. Check out what's coming next year.
The 2023 Subaru BRZ takes up the last sales spot in Subaru of America's all-wheel-drive lineup, but new upgrades are coming. The BRZ is Subaru's only rear-wheel-drive car, and it's not intended to be a high-volume model. Here is where the BRZ is this year and what sports car enthusiasts will see in 2024.
The 2023 BRZ sports coupe is still the bottom dweller in SOA's lineup, with 311 sales in July, but still up 36.4 percent for the month. BRZ had 228 sales in July 2022. BRZ is up 49.3 percent in the first seven months of 2023, with 2,823 sport coupes delivered to customers.
It's no surprise the BRZ is the slowest-selling Subaru model for SOA. The BRZ is considered a boutique model to get new customers in the door of Subaru retailers. The BRZ can be an excellent daily driver, but it's a second car for most driving enthusiasts.

New upgrades are coming to the 2024 BRZ, creating new excitement for the sport coupe. Subaru recently announced the new 2024 BRZ tS sport coupe.
The new 2024 Subaru BRZ tS (tuned by STI) comes with performance upgrades. It's also getting additional EyeSight safety improvements, and you don't have to buy the automatic transmission to get it.
The big news is that the 2024 BRZ tS is the first manual transmission vehicle equipped with EyeSight safety technology.

The 2024 BRZ tS also comes with upgrades for driving enthusiasts. The new tS comes with an STI-tuned suspension, front, and rear Brembo brakes, unique 18-inch alloy wheels, and exclusive interior and exterior accents that set it apart from the standard sports coupe.
Subaru says the BRZ tS trim level will be available nationwide at Subaru retailers early next year. Pricing will be announced later this year.
Before the new 2024 BRZ arrives, the 2023 sport coupe is selling better than last year. There is new excitement for the rear-drive sports car with the new tS trim level. Stay tuned.
