The 2022 Subaru Crosstrek is the hottest model for Subaru of America and is now one of the top five new vehicles with the fewest models available. Automotive News (by subscription) reports that the top five selling vehicles are the 2022 Subaru Crosstrek subcompact SUV, Kia Forte, Toyota Highlander, Toyota RAV4, and Toyota Corolla.
Automotive News reports that Japanese imports had the lowest inventories of the thirty top-selling vehicles, and Subaru of America is at the top of the list. Subaru had the fewest new cars to sell until last month when Honda, at three days supply, is now the car brand with the fewest new models to sell to its customers.

We checked with a source close to Subaru, and they told us every 2022 Crosstrek they have in the order pipeline is already sold through September. The same is true for the refreshed 2022 Subaru Forester compact SUV.
The Crosstrek is the most in-demand model for Subaru of America, and it's only two model sales away from being the number one selling model in the lineup. The 2022 Outback midsize SUV is the top-selling model, with 49,482 models delivered to customers through April. The Crosstrek is next, with 49,480 subcompact SUVs sold through the year's first four months.

What is the price of the 2022 Crosstrek?
Customers should be aware of a recent $750 price increase effective April 26, 2022. The base trim is now priced from $24,320, Premium ($25,470), Sport ($28,670), Limited ($30,170) and Crosstrek Hybrid ($37,520). Prices include destination and delivery fees ($1,175).
The 2022 Crosstrek Sport trim with the 2.5-liter engine and dual-function X-Mode is the most in-demand trim level. Customers are willing to wait five to six months to get one.
What's next for Crosstrek?
The 2023 Subaru Crosstrek gets a complete remodel with new upgrades. Sources close to Subaru say the Japanese automaker will launch a new Crosstrek Wilderness trim level in the U.S. next year. Look for Subaru to announce the next-generation Crosstrek subcompact SUV soon.
In September, the Japanese automaker could uncover the third-generation Crosstrek at the North America International Auto Show, but Subaru has not confirmed that. Stay tuned.
