The all-new 2017 Subaru Impreza launches soon. There’s a new Global Platform, a new assembly line and new features.
The new 2017 Subaru Impreza gets ready to launch in the US, and it gets a new Global Platform, a new factory where it’s built, and lots of new features. Impreza will ride on new underpinnings which Subaru says will give it an improved ride and driving dynamics. It gets a new exterior design and an upgraded cabin. Impreza will be built in the US, at the Lafayette, Indiana Subaru plant for the first time.
The new Impreza still comes as a sedan or 5-Door hatch body style. There’s new materials on the inside and upgraded technology for 2017. Subaru says expect a new refinement inside as they’ve upgraded the materials for more comfort. Impreza will feature a new steering wheel design and entertainment options will feature Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, an 8-inch available touchscreen and Subaru STARLINK in-vehicle technology.
Automatic Climate Control will be standard on 2.0i Limited trims and a power moonroof will now be an option. With the 5-Door hatch, versatility is still the main selling point and integrated roof rails are available on select models with roof rail mounting points included on every other Impreza.
2017 Impreza 2.0i Sport
The 2017 Impreza 2.0i Sport ramps up the fun-to-drive meter as it comes with a sport-tuned suspension for driving enthusiasts. On the outside, it comes with a rear spoiler and 18-inch alloy wheels. Inside, it features new, more contoured front seats featuring red stitching on the Impreza 2.0i Sport.
Subaru hasn’t released fuel mileage numbers on the new Impreza, but they say it will now get more than 450 miles on a full tank on regular unleaded gas.
