The Subaru Levorg BMR Racing team stays on fire and gets two more podium finishes this weekend.
BTCC at Rockingham was successful overall for the Subaru Levorg BMR Racing team. It was two podium finishes as both Jason Plato and Colin Turkington got third place finishes during the day. Subaru also picked up the manufacturer trophy, with both James Cole and Warren Scott getting contact on the opening lap forcing them both down the BTCC pack.
Plato gets a podium finish
Race one saw Jason Plato finishing third and reaching the podium, while James Cole eventually finished the race in 22nd with Warren making a great fight back through the field from 30th to finish 19th.
Jason Plato and Warren Scott suffered damage on the opening lap in race two forcing Plato off the track and Scott 2 laps down in 23rd. Colin Turkington also fell down the field and recovered to finish 15th with Cole the lead Subaru Levorg driver finishing in 12th place.
Turkington gets third place finish
In race three, Colin Turkington started all the way back in 15th place on the grid, and pushed hard to get a third place podium finish. Scott was forced out the race with Cole crossing the finish line in 18th. Plato had a stunning drive through from the back of the grid to finish the day in 10th.
Overall, it was another successful BTCC race at Rockingham for the Subaru Levorg BMR Racing team. Two events remain on the 2016 Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship calendar, with the next race taking place at Silverstone on September 17-18.
