Subaru is the most Googled car in six U.S. states which is surprising. But even more surprising is the Legacy sedan is the top Googled car in two of the states.
It’s amazing that tiny Subaru has four vehicles in the U.S. that are the most Googled cars. The Subaru Outback, Crosstrek, Impreza and Legacy are the most researched Subaru vehicles in six U.S. states. According to Google Search Volume Data, these Subarus are the #1 Googled vehicle in certain areas of the country. But even more surprising is the Legacy sedan is the top Googled car in two states. What’s up with Idaho and West Virginia?
Oregonians are searching most for the Subaru Outback which is not a surprise since the Pacific Northwest has been a hot-bed for Subaru. The other states that Googled Subaru most were Pennsylvania and Massachusetts who really love the all-new Subaru Impreza. This is no surprise since compact cars are selling well on the east coast. Utah wants to know about the new 2018 Subaru Crosstrek which makes sense as it’s a great mountain crossover.
What’s up with Idaho and West Virginia?
But Idaho and West Virginia Googled the Subaru Legacy sedan more than any other vehicle in the US. It’s surprising since sedan sales are dropping like a rock in most areas of the country. Sedans are out, and SUVs and CUVs are the top-selling models around the country.
It’s also surprising that Colorado and Washington are conspicuously missing from the list. Both states have been especially hot for Subaru where the Outback is the number one selling vehicle in both Colorado and Washington. What vehicles are the most Googled now in these states? The Audi A4 Allroad is most searched in Colorado likely because it comes with the quattro AWD system and it’s also a multi-purpose wagon like the Outback. Washington is going green where the all-electric Nissan Leaf is now the most researched vehicle in the state.
Two other states worth mentioning that are missing from the list are both in the Northeast where Subaru is also a hot brand. But Subaru is not the most researched in Maine, where the Forester is the number one selling vehicle, and Connecticut where the Outback is the top seller. It’s not a surprise that the Volvo XC70 is the most Googled vehicle in both these states. This is another multi-purposed vehicle well-suited for the harsh Northeast winters.
It’s surprising that a tiny automaker like Subaru has four vehicles in the U.S. that are the most Googled cars and in six U.S. states. But what’s up with Idaho and West Virginia? Sedan sales have been sliding for quite some time so it’s even more surpassing that the Legacy sedan is most Googled in any U.S. state.
