They say the 2016-2020 Subaru Outback is one model SUV shoppers should have on their list. See below why a new 2022 Subaru Outback could be your best choice over buying a used model.

What can you expect to pay for a used Outback?
Autotrader lists the used price of a 2016 Outback from $24,000 to $36,000 for a certified 2020 Outback with 6,000 miles. A new model may be better than buying a used Outback because the Outback holds its value better than most SUVs.

What is the price of a 2022 Subaru Outback?
The 2022 Subaru Outback arrives now at retailers, and Subaru of America does offer no-interest financing on the remaining 2021 Outback models. If you opt for a 2022 year model, Subaru offers 1.9 percent financing or leases for $265 per month for 36 months.
The 2022 Outback comes in eight trim levels; the base trim is priced from $27,845, Premium ($30,270), Limited ($34,720), Touring ($38,620), Onyx Edition XT ($36,270), new for 2022, Outback Wilderness ($38,120), Limited XT ($39,120), and Touring XT ($41,070). Pricing includes $1,125 destination and delivery fees.

What is the Subaru Outback fuel mileage?
The 2020 Outback XT 2.4-liter turbo gets an EPA estimated 23/30 city/highway mpg and 26 combined mpg. That’s a substantial improvement over the 3.6R six-cylinder rated at 20/27 city/highway and 22 combined mpg.
The 2020 Outback 2.5-liter engine’s estimated fuel economy is 26/33 mpg city/highway and 29 combined mpg. That’s a one-mile-per-gallon improvement over the 2016-2019 model year.
If you can’t find a used Subaru Outback, most retailers have a good inventory of the remaining 2021 Outback, and the 2022 Outback models arrive now. You might find buying a new model is the best option.
