The 2021 Subaru Outback gets a Best New Family Cars Of 2021 award again. See why it's three years in a row.
The redesigned 2021 Subaru Outback is racking up more awards. The wagon was named Good Housekeeping's Best New Family Cars of 2021. The Outback was named "Best Station Wagon" for the third year in a row by Good Housekeeping and Car and Driver.
Good Housekeeping partnered with Car and Driver to road test and evaluate 2021 passenger cars, SUVs, and minivans. "Our automotive experts assessed hundreds of vehicles to choose these winners, which stand out for performance, value, and bonus features," says GH.

GH says Outback is family-friendly "with its ample cargo space and comfortable backseat, along with its quiet ride and affordable price." They say the wagon stands out for its standard all-wheel-drive, 8.7-inches of ground clearance, EyeSight active safety features, rear-seat reminder, and steering-responsive headlights. "It's a great car if you're a family who loves adventures," says GH.
In their test drive evaluation, GH found the Outback offers a comfortable, enjoyable ride and "really showcases its capabilities when off-roading. There's a reason this is the third year in a row the Outback has been a Good Housekeeping winner!"
