Subaru shows what the next-generation 2024 Crosstrek and 2024 Impreza could become at the Tokyo Auto Salon. Check out the new upgrades you want for the new models. Here are the details with new photos and a video from the show.
Subaru Corporation opened up the Tokyo Auto Salon with an upgraded 2024 Subaru Crosstrek and improved 2024 Impreza models they should produce for customers. The Tokyo Auto Salon opened today, and Subaru brought a more rugged Crosstrek and a sportier Impreza to the show.
It’s a short Tokyo show that runs this weekend from January 13 to January 15. The Japanese media and customers will get a quick look at two Japanese-spec models U.S. customers would like to see in Subaru of America’s all-wheel-drive lineup.
2024 Crosstrek Boost Gear Concept
The first new model is the Crosstrek Boost Gear Concept vehicle. The subcompact SUV is based on the all-new next-generation 2024 Crosstrek subcompact SUV that made its global debut in December. Subaru Corporation says the new model will come “scattered with features which excite an adventurous mind.”
The Crosstrek Boost Gear Concept could reveal what the Japanese automaker has in mind for the U.S. specification 2024 Crosstrek Wilderness trim level. Crosstrek fans have been waiting for the Wilderness trim level for more than a year. The third-generation Crosstrek will join the Outback and Forester and add the more rugged model to the U.S. Wilderness sub-brand for the 2024 model year.
2024 Impreza STI Prototype
The second is the 2024 Impreza Prototype (STI parts equipped model). Subaru uncovered a hot new next-generation Subaru Tecnica International (STI-equipped) 2024 Impreza hatchback at the Tokyo Auto Salon. The Impreza STI Prototype is based on the U.S. model unveiled at the Los Angeles Auto Show in November 2022.
Subaru Corporation revealed what a hot new Impreza could become when Subaru Tecnica International gets its hands on the new compact hatch. But the upgrades will be on the exterior, not under the hood. Unfortunately, there won’t be any modifications made to the 2.0-liter or the new U.S. spec RS 2.4-liter Subaru Boxer engine.
Subaru Corporation also uncovered a Levorg STI Sport Prototype, the new Rex Boost Gear Concept, Subaru WRX NBR (Nurburgring 24-hour) Challenge 2023 car, BRZ GT300, and the WRX Rally Challenge car at the Tokyo Auto Salon.
The next-generation 2024 Subaru Crosstrek Boost Gear and 2024 Impreza Prototype revealed at the Tokyo Auto Salon are only concept vehicles. Subaru should make the rugged and sporty upgrades available to its U.S. customers.

One of my Aunt's bought the Honda Accord most of her driving life and switched to a Subaru Impreza. She hates the Subaru, most everything about it.
They're not even the same
They're not even the same class of car. Should have got a Legacy. That's equal to an Accord.

Going from an appliance for what.. 50 years... to something a little more fun.. im not shocked. Of course you didnt mention the trim.. the vase inpreza is pretty sparse compared to a base accord... different class of cars.
Answering The question of
Answering The question of what addition would have me purchase a 2024 Impreza Sport is the twin, exposed exhaust outlets (along with the 2.4L engine) which completes the Subaru I would prefer over my Crosstrek. Off road clearance and black plastic stone protectors are not my cup of tea as many of us don't ever go off road. More power to Subaru Tecnica.
