Subaru’s New Model Production Increases For The 3rd Consecutive Month

Subaru Corporation says its new vehicle production is up again at its Gunma Japan factory and its U.S. factory in Lafayette, Indiana. That's good news for new car shoppers looking for an all-new 2024 Subaru Crosstrek subcompact SUV, a next-generation 2024 Subaru Impreza compact hatchback, and Forester compact SUV.

Subaru announced its new model production and export numbers in its Japanese factories. New vehicle production increased 18.4 percent in April, the third month of consecutive increase. Subaru makes the U.S.-specification 2023 Subaru Forester, all-new 2024 Subaru Crosstrek Base and Premium trims, the new 2024 Subaru Impreza compact hatchback, the 2023 Subaru WRX performance car, and the BRZ sports coupe at the Japanese factory.

Subaru also announced its new model production and export numbers in its U.S. factory. According to the report, new vehicle production increased 3.4 percent in April, the third month of a consecutive increase. Subaru makes the all-new 2024 Subaru Crosstrek Sport and Limited trims, 2024 Subaru Outback (coming this fall), 2023 Subaru Ascent, and 2023 Subaru Legacy at Subaru of Indiana Automotive.

New models are now built in the U.S. factory.

The all-new 2024 Crosstrek Sport, Limited, and Crosstrek Wilderness trim levels, now built in Lafayette, Indiana, will arrive this summer, and Wilderness will come this fall for U.S. customers.

Subaru Corporation says exports from Japan increased 14.6 percent in April, the third month of consecutive increase. This means more Forester compact SUVs, the new 2024 Crosstrek Base and Premium subcompact SUVs, and new 2024 Impreza hatchbacks are coming to U.S. customers.

More good news

Subaru Corp. says the new model export total this year was up 14.6 percent. It is the third consecutive month of export increase. As a result, Subaru of America's new model inventory should improve in 2023.

What is the price of the 2024 Subaru Crosstrek?

For 2024, the Crosstrek will be available in Base, Premium, Sport, and Limited trim levels and has a starting price of $26,290 (the same MSRP as the 2023 Base model equipped with the Lineartronic CVT automatic transmission).

The 2024 Crosstrek Premium has a starting price of $27,440, Sport ($30,290), and Limited ($32,190). Pricing includes destination and delivery fees ($1,225). The Premium trim price increased by +$70, the Sport +$1,070, and Limited +$1,470.

The 2024 Subaru Crosstrek Wilderness costs $33,290, including dealer destination and delivery fees ($1,295).

What is the price of the 2024 Subaru Impreza?

The 2024 Subaru Impreza Base hatchback starts at $24,085, the Sport hatch starts at $26,085, and the all-new RS hatch with the 2.5-liter Boxer engine starts at $28,975. Pricing includes destination and delivery fees ($1,090).

The completely remodeled 2024 Impreza offers exceptional value. The Base hatchback price increased by $1,470. The Sport trim level price dropped $30, and the RS is all new for 2024, so there's no previous generation model for comparison. Dealer fees increased by $70.

What is the price of the 2024 Subaru Outback?

For the 2024 model year, the Outback will be available in nine trim levels. The Base is priced at $30,190, Premium ($32,490), Onyx Edition ($37,400), Limited ($37,090), Touring ($41,640), Onyx Edition XT ($40,655), Wilderness ($41,255), Limited XT ($41,490), and Touring XT ($44,090). In addition, destination and delivery fees are included in the price above ($1,295).

As a result, wait times for the new models should improve.
