Check out the new 2021 ACSI customer satisfaction study. See where 2021 Subaru Forester, Outback, and Crosstrek owners score their vehicles with the top ten automakers.
How satisfied are customers with vehicles like the 2021 Subaru Forester, 2022 Outback, and 2021 Subaru Crosstrek? Where does Subaru rank with other automakers in customer satisfaction? According to a new study from the American Customer Satisfaction Index (ACSI) study, Subaru ranks number two among mainstream automakers.
The ACSI study asks customers to evaluate their recent experiences with their car brand between July 6, 2020, and June 28, 2021. Among mainstream (non-luxury) car brands, Honda scores number one with a score of 82. Subaru ranks number two with a score of 81, a 3 percent increase over last year's study when they scored 79 points.

Subaru scored higher than Ram, who scored 80 points (number one in 2020), and higher than Hyundai, Mazda, and Toyota, who all tied with a score of 79. Dodge, Ford, GMC, and Nissan rounded out the top ten non-luxury automakers.
Why are Subaru Forester, Outback, Crosstrek, and other model owners satisfied with the new car? The ACSI study reveals customers with mainstream brands are most happy with the vehicle's safety (seat belts, airbags, headrests, anti-lock brakes, warning systems).

All 2021 Subaru Forester, Outback, Ascent, and Crosstrek models with a CVT transmission now come standard with the brand's EyeSight driver assist technology. The safety system includes adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, pre-collision braking, and throttle management.
The next category customers are most satisfied with is the vehicle's dependability (engine, parts, breakdowns). Satisfaction also depends on customers who experienced a recall. Subaru has had recalls in 2021; you can read the full report here.

Third, on the list of customer experience benchmarks are driving performance (handling, braking, steering, overall drivability), followed by exterior (look, paint, trim, overall style), comfort (seating, ride, quietness), interior (look, space, cargo capacity, features, material quality), quality and reliability of the mobile app, website satisfaction, technology, (controls, displays, audio, navigation, video systems), gas mileage, and warranties.
In the new 2021 ACSI customer satisfaction report, Subaru is the number two mainstream brand. 2021 Subaru Forester, Outback, Crosstrek, and Ascent customers score their all-wheel-drive vehicles higher than all other car brands' vehicles one point behind number one Honda.

I've had long time driving
I've had long time driving experience with Subaru forester, Legacy and Impreza and the performance plus maintenance is comparable to none. Quite reliable and comfortable.
I could not disagree more.
I could not disagree more. Had a 2012 Impreza and now a 2015 Forester. Both have been very unreliable with constant problems. Each required engine replacement at very low mileage due to excessive oil consumption. Poor quality all around. I would never buy another one.
Subaru is well aware of
Subaru is well aware of transmission problems and extended the warranty to 100,000 miles because of customers having issues.
Read before purchasing .. research.
Glad you are speaking up about problems occurring early on.
Seriously? They're #1 in the
Seriously? They're #1 in the world for recalls outside of the big three. And the infotainment doesn't last but months without going black and not working. 19 Ascents only getting 30K average out of it's transmission.
This info is flat out wrong,
This info is flat out wrong, I work on these cars for a living. People are tired of all the damn safety garbage. Constantly breaking, throwing codes or just flat not working. Put a seat belt and airbags into them and thats it. There is inherent risk traveling down the highway at 75 miles an hour in a tin can with crumple zones. If you can't assume the risk stay home
