Racing-driver Randy Pobst takes the BMW M3 Sedan and shows drivers how to handle oversteer. Do you want to have some fun on the track with the BMW M3?
Oversteer is called “the party drug of driving” and can be a lot of fun if you know what you are doing, if you don’t you will crash and end up in the ditch. It’s an art that has to be learned as Racing-driver Randy Pobst takes the BMW M3 Sedan and shows drivers how to handle oversteer.
Pobst gives driving enthusiasts and want-to-be-drifters a lesson on how to properly oversteer a car, essentially learning how to drift a performance car on the track. He also gives a lesson on what happens to the tires and how to maintain control when it feels like the car is out of control.
The new BMW M3/M4 is the ideal car for drifting and makes the job easier as Pobst takes an M3 sedan to the track for the demonstration. The new 425 horsepower sedan and coupe is a pure drifting machine when the driver turns off the DTC/DSC. The racing driver also shows us that drifting doesn’t necessarily mean being faster on the track, so following the racing line is still the best way to win. The Racing Line’s four ways to do a proper drift: Leadfoot, Race Technique, Extreme and Hooligan. Check out the Oversteer: The Party Drug of Driving video.
The new BMW M3/M4 is a great car to drift if you know what your’e doing. If you don’t you will get in trouble and crash like this driver did on the Nurburgring. Check out this video and see how not to drive a BMW M4 on the Nurburgring.
