To go rally racing, you will need to spend $159,000 on this 2015 new Subaru WRX STI to run in the FIA production class. That's what JRM is charging for their new rally-ready 2015 Subaru STI.

The new 2015 NR4-spec Subaru WRX STI is built by British motorsport preparation specialist JRM, and is available now for those who want go rally racing in the FIA production category.

JRM is an official base team of Subaru Tecnica International (STI) and its new 2015 challenger has been built in partnership with engineers at Subaru’s motorsport division in Japan.

JRM has just launched the new Subaru WRX STI production rally car that is eligible in WRC 2, ERC 2 and other regional championships. The NR4-spec Subaru WRX STI is based on Subaru’s production 2015 WRX STI. This new rally car is built to FIA’s international-specs new-for-2015 NR4 technical regulations replacing the former N4 and R4 classes.

JRM is in the process now of extensive testing and development to prepare it for a competitive debut that will come in an upcoming round of the FIA European Rally Championship (ERC).

Where can you race the new NR4-spec STI?

The new rally car can be used in all regions where international and national production championships are widely recognized and supported. This includes WRC 2, ERC 2, BRC NR4 class (from 2016), Middle East, Europe, Africa, Russia, Australia and regional and domestic production championships.

2015 NR4-spec Subaru WRX STI specs

The JRM 2015 NR4-spec Subaru WRX STI is powered by a 2.0-liter, turbo boxer with 280 bhp and 560 Nm of torque. It features a variable inlet and exhaust camshaft, two stage anti-lag system, homologated intercooler water spray, homologated coolant radiator, stainless steel exhaust system with silencer and catalytic converter.

Power is transferred to all four wheels by a Hewland 5-speed dog gear box and includes front and rear limited slip differentials, electronically controlled center differential, heavy-duty front specification driveshaft and AP Racing paddle clutch assembly.

The suspension gets Ohlins dampers with three-way adjustment, chassis upgrades include FIA/JRM welded safety cage, 80-liter racing bag tank and quick disconnect refuel couplings. Stopping power is provided by STI/ AP Racing homologated brake package for tarmac and gravel, Driver adjustable brake bias and hydraulic hand brake with manual lock.

The cabin gets special upgrades like Sparco steering wheel, Sparco Pro ADV fiberglass HANS seat, Sparco 6-point harness, FEV 3kg-mounted extinguisher system, FEV hand held 2.0kg Helmet net, First aid kit, Wheel brace and jack Map light.

Want to test drive the 2015 NR4 Subaru WRX STI?

JRM has arranged a number of test days in 2015 where prospective customers can drive the new STI international specification production rally car. You can test the rally car on a dedicated test stage and run the STI through the course before deciding to buy it. The price for each test day is 3,000 British Pounds ($4764 US) +VAT and includes factory engineering support and car insurance. Test day fees are refunded if a car is purchased.

How much will all this cost? JRM says the 2015 NR4-spec Subaru WRX STI, has a mechanical running cost estimated to be no more than 15 British Pounds per km. The new STI rally car is available to rally in international specification from 99,995 British Pounds ($158,802 US) +VAT.
