Watch a Subaru Legacy GT owner drive his car right into the ocean. [video]
What do you do if you take your Subaru Legacy sedan to the beach? You drive it right into the ocean and have some fun. That’s what a Subaru Legacy GT owner did in Port Macquarie, New South Wales. Why wouldn’t you? The Subaru Symmetrical all-wheel-drive will go anywhere there is enough ground clearance. Even though the waves were about the bottom of the car, it had no trouble getting stuck in the wet sand.
But it did surprise beachgoers who couldn’t believe their eyes when they saw the motorist driver his Subaru right into the waves. The car had no trouble surfing the waves as the driver went for a spin in the ocean, made a U-turn and drove back the other way. After a few minutes of fun, he drives out onto the beach as nothing strange happened.
The video was filmed by local lifeguards and posted on the Port Macquarie Lifeguard’s Instagram page. According to the story in The Daily Mail in the UK, Brown Cardigan later posted the video on Facebook, leaving many social media users impressed by the apparent robustness of the Subaru Legacy GT sedan. “You may as well sell the luxine and buy a subie then you won't have to worry about getting stuck again,” one person joked. “Does better than my truck,” said another.

This is stupid. If he gets
This is stupid. If he gets to some soft sand the wheels will sink in and he'll be stuck. If not, salt water will promote rust. Don't do this!
Presumably a rental car,
Presumably a rental car, because otherwise doing that would be very stupid.
This is too painful to watch.
This is too painful to watch. Turn your god damn phone sideways. We should have mandatory class when people buy a phone on how to take video properly

Not only is the video shot in the wrong fashion, the lack of full screen button on mobile means watching the video on a postage stamp.
