Subaru Corporation announced its forecast for 2023, and it's good news for customers looking for a 2022 Subaru Forester, Outback, Crosstrek, and other new models. See why here.
Subaru Corporation released its consolidated profit and loss for the fiscal year ending March 2022, and there was plenty of bad news. Subaru says the global shortage of semiconductors and the spread of the coronavirus in Southeast Asia, operations at the Company's Japanese and U.S. manufacturing plants were affected by production adjustments and temporary suspensions. This led to a severe shortage of new 2022 Subaru Forester, Outback, Crosstrek, and other new models.
The good news is that Subaru gave its forecast for 2023, and it's good news for customers in the U.S. looking for its top three models and the hardest to find; Forester compact SUV, Crosstrek subcompact SUV, and Outback midsize SUV.

The U.S. is Subaru's most significant market, where they sell close to 70 percent of all cars it manufactures. Subaru Corporation says, "In prospect of a recovery especially in its key North American market, Subaru projects consolidated global vehicle sales of 940,000 units (up 28.1 percent from 2022)."
Subaru expects shortages of parts and the supply chain issues will improve, and there will be significantly more new Forester, Crosstrek, and Outback SUVs produced for U.S. customers next year.

What's next for the 2023 Forester?
Subaru Corporation will make few changes to the 2023 Forester compact SUV as they prepare for the 2024 model change that will get a complete remodel.
You should order a 2022 Subaru Forester now if you are thinking of buying a new model. The 2023 Forester will likely get a price increase and no upgrades. Subaru could increase the destination and delivery fees, adding additional costs to the 2023 models.
What's next for the 2023 Crosstrek?
The 2023 Subaru Crosstrek is set to get a complete remodel, and significant changes will come. Crosstrek will also get a new Wilderness trim level.
When will the 2023 Crosstrek be available for customers? Subaru of America is expected to launch the next-generation Crosstrek in early 2023 for U.S. customers. The announcement for the new model should be coming this summer. The all-new 2023 Subaru Crosstrek Wilderness trim should launch shortly after in the spring of 2023.
What's next for the 2023 Outback?
The 2023 Outback midsize SUV gets new updates with a redesigned front fascia and exterior cladding, the latest version of EyeSight safety technology, and a new wide-angle mono camera. Subaru also updated the Outback's multimedia system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
The refreshed 2023 Outback receives a new front fascia, a more prominent grille, redesigned LED headlights and fog lights, and a more rugged front bumper cover. Subaru says the wheel arch cladding has been updated to improve functionality. The recently released Outback Wilderness does not get the new styling upgrades.
The bad news is that the 2022 Subaru Forester, Crosstrek, and Outback will be hard to find this year. The good news for customers is that the 2023 Subaru Forester, Crosstrek, and Outback inventory levels will increase.
