In a new video, you can see and hear the painful sounds as a semi-trailer tears apart the side of a Cyberuck. After withstanding multiple collisions and a barrage of tests, the Cybertruck appears to have finally met its match.
The Cybertruck is the toughest passenger vehicle out on the road. Unlike every other vehicle, the Cybertruck is constructed from an ultra-tough 30X cold rolled stainless steel exoskeleton.
Tesla has demonstrated the durability of the Cybertruck’s stainless steel exterior in a myriad of ways, including shooting a gun onto the side of the truck and shooting the stainless steel with a hunting bow and arrow.
More practically, Tesla has showcased the strength of the Cybertruck exoskeleton by throwing everyday objects onto the truck, including runaway shopping carts and other everyday items.
If you are less inclined to blindly believe claims made by a manufacturer, new owners have thoroughly tested Tesla’s durability claims regarding the Cybertruck.

Early Cybertruck owners have put their over $100,000 truck through the ringer. Some experiments bordered on recklessness, and others were bizarre. However, it’s safe to say the Cybertruck is an extremely durable vehicle.
The Cybertruck’s stainless steel exoskeleton has also helped the truck survive crashes with everyday vehicles.
A car crash between a Cybertruck and a Ram pickup truck is a good example of this fact. During the collision, the Ram, which rear-ended the Cybertruck, left a Ram-shaped imprint on the Cybertruck.
On the other hand, the front end of the Ram pickup was severely deformed. The Ram pickup is most likely totaled, while the Cybertruck needs minor buffing.
In another instance, a Cybertruck was T-boned by a Nissan Sentra in the middle of an intersection. In this particular crash, the Nissan was severely damaged to the point of absolute wreckage.
Here, the Cybertruck sustained more damage; however, despite the high energy impact, the Cybertruck windows did not shatter.
In one of the post-crash pictures, you can even see the Cybertruck holding a piece of the Nissan Sentra body between its stainless steel plates.
There was also a crash between a Toyota Corolla and a Cybertruck, which was likely the first Cybertruck car crash in the wild. The Corolla was found flung and totaled down by the ditch, whereas the Cybertruck sustained minor scratches.
With all these car crashes involving a Cybertruck, some people have started to believe that their Cybertruck might be indestructible.
Sadly, a new vehicle crash involving a Cybertruck and a semi-trailer has swiftly burst the Cybertruck’s indestructible bubble.
The video of the crash shared online shows a semi-trailer backing up onto a loading dock next to a Cybertruck.
The semi backed up too close to the Cybertruck; however, most of the damage appears to have occurred when the semi tried to drive forward.
In the video, you can see and hear the painful sounds as the semi-trailer slowly tears apart the passenger side of the Cybertruck.
Even in this low-speed encounter, the Cybertruck has sustained notable damage; the list of mangled parts include
- The side view mirror and the entire housing mechanism are completely torn off
- The little window compartment below the A-pillar is completely shattered
- The passenger side window is cracked
- The black plastic fender piece, autopilot cameras, and adjoining electronics are shredded into pieces
- The stainless steel panels are deformed
- The lower part of the windscreen is cracked
- The front bumper is scratched
- Finally, the wheels appear also to be damaged
Overall, the Cybertruck is mangled and will need thousands of dollars of work to restore it to its original state.
On the other hand, the semi-trailer is barely scratched. Admittedly, the semi ran into the Cybertruck with its trailer part, so it’s very unlikely any essential parts would be damaged.
Having said that, it’s still surprising to see the Cybertruck come out worse off in a crash, even if it’s against a semi-trailer.
What do you do if your Cybertruck gets into a crash?
For most of its short history, Tesla’s service department has been notorious for an awful service experience.
We have seen a notable improvement in this regard in the past few years; however, even now, Tesla's service is still a hit-and-miss.
We’ve seen several high-profile individuals who drive Tesla document their subpar service experience.
Tesla's service is especially horrendous when it comes to collision repair. Sadly, it’s entirely possible that this Cybertruck driver will not get his truck back for several months.
No matter the case with Tesla service, if you find yourself in a similar situation with your Cybertruck or any other Tesla, the best thing to do is immediately contact Tesla and start the insurance claim process.
After this, one of the biggest issues you will face while trying to fix your Tesla after a collision is the availability of parts.
Whether you deal with Tesla directly or with an approved third-party body shop, you might need to wait weeks to order and receive parts from Tesla. As a result, the sooner you can order the replacement parts, the better.
Overall, this crash is unfortunate, and our hearts go out to the new Cybertruck owner. However, we also hope the video serves as a lesson to some Cybertruck owners who might be deluded into thinking that their vehicle is indestructible.
Currently, this is all the information we have regarding the Cybertruck crash; however, we’ll be sure to keep you posted if more information comes out.

The Tesla driver is a moron…
The Tesla driver shouldn't have been parking at a Semi loading dock. Why did he do that?
Now show a Silverado or F150…
Now show a Silverado or F150 with the same type of collision damage... The Ford opens like a beer can and the Chevrolet folds up like a lawn chair. The minor damage on the Cybertruck is pretty impressive.

First of all...
Who's the moron that would park their Cybertruck in an active loading dock?
And second...
Who's the semi truck driver that backs into a loading dock with skills like that? Or without looking first to make sure it's clear?
