A Cybertruck owner, who was involved in a major accident, with multiple broken ribs, says he is more concerned about getting his truck fixed than the damage to his body. The owner adds he was T-boned by a person driving 45 mph in a Costco parking lot.

Ladies and gentlemen, we might have found the biggest Cybertruck fan in the world. This Cybertruck owner was recently involved in an accident while driving his Cybertruck in a Costco parking lot.
The Cybertruck owner, who chose not to share his name, posted a video of the accident and a description of what happened in the Tesla CyberTruck group on Facebook.
Here is what he wrote…
“Today, a lady t-boned me in a Costco parking lot. She broke two of my ribs, and all of my airbags deployed on the right side of my vehicle.”
This is scary, especially since it involved physical harm to the Cybertruck driver; however, the owner is apparently less worried about the broken ribs and cares more about whether Tesla will be able to fix his Cybertruck.
He continues to write…
“I honestly don’t care about my ribs. I just want my truck back, to be honest. Do you know if they’ll fix it? I have been hearing that once all airbags are deployed, they total the entire vehicle as a loss.”
Below his post, the Cybertruck owner shared a video of his Miami blue-wrapped Cybertruck showing where it was hit and all the airbags deployed on the right side.
As you can see in the video, although the airbags were deployed, the Cybertruck doesn’t appear too damaged.
The rear passenger side door has small scratches, and where the impact occurred, the passenger door can be opened, and there are no major deformities on the structure.
These are the facts of the accident; however, going back to the “I don’t care about my ribs” statement, people in the comments were certainly surprised by his cavalier attitude toward his broken bones.
The Cybertruck owner clearly likes his truck, however, at the very least, you would assume he would be more concerned about the damaged body part than getting back his Cybertruck.
The first comment on the Cybertruck owner’s post highlights how crazy it is to say he doesn’t care about his ribs.
In addition to being amused about how a person could care more about a Cybertruck than his own ribs, people in the comments were also curious about how an accident in a Costco parking lot could result in broken ribs and deployed airbags.
Mohammad Y. Addasi asks, “How fast was she going in a parking lot to break your ribs?”
In response, the Cybertruck owner says, “Like 45, which was crazy. Only two are broken; the others are bruised.”
I don’t know about you, but 45 mph feels like an excessive speed to be driving around a Costco parking lot.
Another important point, at least for the Cybertruck owner, is whether Tesla will be able to fix his truck once the airbags are deployed.
As he pointed out in his original post, there is a general belief in the Tesla community that the truck has to be totaled once the airbags go off.
For this, another Cybertruck owner who experienced a similar side impact says Tesla will be able to fix the truck, but it’ll likely take a long time.
John Basil writes, “I got hit at about 30 mph, and my side and seat airbags deployed. It’s been at Tesla collision since the middle of October. They’ll fix it for sure unless there was significant underlying damage to the unibody.”
Overall, given the Cybertruck is not too badly damaged, it’ll take a long time but, Tesla will most likely fix his truck. Having said that, it’s still surprising to see a person who cares more about getting his Cybertruck back than his broken ribs.
