Following Trump’s assassination attempt, Elon Musk made a shocking revelation that two gunmen had already been arrested for targeting his life. Over 3000 Tesla investors have signed up in agreement to increase Elon Musk's security.
The recent events that unfolded before our eyes yesterday have put Elon Musk and Tesla investors on high alert.
As the world saw in shock former President Trump, the front-runner to be the 47th US President, coming this close to losing his life on stage, Tesla investors and Elon Musk’s friends expressed their fear that similar things could happen to Musk.
Ian Miles Cheong on X wrote to Musk, “Please, please triple your protection. If they can come for Trump, they will also come for you.”
Some might think this is an unfounded overreaction however, in a surprising turn of events, Elon Musk revealed that two gunmen in a separate incident had come for his life already.
In response, Musk wrote, “Dangerous times ahead. Two people (on separate occasions) have already tried to kill me in the past eight months. They were arrested with guns about 20 minutes drive from Tesla HQ in Texas.”
Musk’s statement sent shockwaves throughout the Tesla community and investors, leading Tesla retail investor Alexandra Merz (better known as Tesla Boomer Mama) to organize a petition addressing Tesla’s board of directors to increase the security budget to protect Musk, Tesla employees, and Tesla facilities worldwide.
The petition reads…
Shareholder Letter to Tesla's Board of Directors to support an increase in the security budget
Dear Members of Tesla's Board of Directors,
We are writing to you on behalf of the undersigned group of concerned shareholders regarding the security measures currently in place for Elon Musk, the Board members, Tesla employees, and company sites.
While we recognize that the Board and management are best positioned to make detailed operational decisions, we wish to express our strong support for an increased security budget. We believe that protecting the human capital and physical assets of Tesla is paramount to the company's continued success and innovation.
Our reasons for advocating for enhanced security measures include:
- The high-profile nature of Tesla and its leadership, particularly Elon Musk, which may attract undue attention or potential threats.
- The critical importance of safeguarding Tesla's intellectual property and proprietary technologies.
- The need to ensure the safety and peace of mind of all Tesla employees, enabling them to focus on their groundbreaking work.
- The potential risks associated with Tesla's global presence and diverse range of facilities.
We want to emphasize that we do not seek to dictate specific security protocols or measures. Rather, we wish to convey our full support for allocating additional resources to this crucial area. We trust in your judgment to determine the most appropriate and effective ways to enhance security across the organization.
As shareholders, we understand that increased expenditure in this area may have a short-term impact on financial metrics. However, we firmly believe that this investment is essential for the long-term stability and growth of Tesla.
We would appreciate an update on any decisions or actions taken regarding security enhancements in the next shareholder communication.
Thank you for your attention to this important issue and for your continued stewardship of Tesla.
Sincerely,
Alexandra Merz
On behalf of concerned Tesla shareholders
Please note: The shareholders filling out this form agree that their name and details will be disclosed to the Board of Directors of Tesla and may become public.
Alexandra Merz further added, writing on X, “With over 90% and more than 3,000 participants wanting to support Tesla's Board of Directors to increase the security budget for Elon, the Board Members, the employees and the sites, we set up the below letter.”
If you are a Tesla investor, you have until Tuesday to sign in support of the petition to increase Tesla’s security budget to protect Elon Musk.
Following Musk’s acquisition of Twitter, Tesla shareholders have expressed increased fears that Musk’s life might be threatened by bad actors and connected individuals who do not share Musk’s political views.
As I have already mentioned, this might look like undue worry; however, as Musk revealed, two gunmen have already been arrested for targeting his life.
In classic Musk fashion, even while discussing concerns about his safety, Musk decided to insert levity into the conversation. An X user wrote to Musk saying, “You better beef up your security too, Elon Musk.”
Musk, in return, responded by writing, “Maybe it’s time to build that flying metal suit of armor.”
Musk’s statement refers to the fact that some individuals consider Elon Musk to be the real-world Iron Man. Musk is saying he might need to build the flying metal suit of armor from the Iron Man movies to protect himself.
Currently, Tesla’s board of directors or Elon Musk has yet to respond to the Tesla shareholders’ letter; however, we’ll be sure to keep you posted once we get an update on this story.
Until then, make sure to visit our site, torquenews.com/Tesla, regularly for the latest updates.
So, what do you think? Are you surprised to learn that two individuals tried to kill Elon Musk? What do you think is the reason behind all the hate against Elon Musk? Let us know your thoughts in the comments by clicking the red “Add new comment” button below.
