Tesla only needs 184 Cybertrucks to do a huge marketing campaign. Here's what it involves.
Tesla - 184 Cybertrucks for Huge Marketing Campaign
I've been reading all the information about the Tesla Cybertruck that I can to try and get information about its price, specs, and more. While doing this, I noticed a Tweet from someone that was interesting. They said Tesla should do something and that if they didn't, they would be a fool.
I thought to myself what this might be and decided to read this particular post. "The Cybertruck Guy" said that Tesla would be a fool not to put a Cybertruck on display at every delivery center in the U.S.
He also went on to say that if Tesla did this, it would be the biggest marketing campaign that Tesla has ever done. It got me thinking what the cost of such a move would be. If you have 184 Cybertrucks and each cost Tesla, let's say, $70,000 to make, then you have a total cost of the Cybertrucks of $12.88 million. Then you have the cost to get the Cybertrucks to every delivery center in the U.S. and let's call that another cool $1 million for people and energy required.
At $13.88 million, that doesn't equate to that much for Tesla to do what could be its biggest marketing campaign, it has ever done. The case that this man makes is that everyone will want a demo test drive of this vehicle and be telling everyone they know about it. He makes the case that reservation holders should be allowed a test drive first.

Will Tesla Do This?
If Tesla does this, it could do several things for them:
* It would attract people who see the futuristic Cybertruck, and people would want to post photos next to it. These would be shared via social media and likely go viral.
* It would give satisfaction to customers, as those with a long wait time could at least see a Cybertruck and verify it is indeed what they want. If it's an awesome product, then they will keep their reservation.
* It would convert more sales and people would have the opportunity to see how the Cybertruck compares to other EVs. I think it's no contest for the Cybertruck to be better than any EV truck out there, but seeing is believing, as "they" say.
Using 184 test Cybertrucks for demo drives would be a great use of capital and would likely generate returns well beyond the ~ $13.8 million required to make it happen. The big question is, will Tesla do this?
I think Tesla will do this at a small scale before they do it across the U.S. Elon Musk is being very cautious right now given the macroeconomy environment and high interest rates, so look for Cybertrucks to be at select delivery centers available for test drives. If this goes well, I'm sure more will be sent to other locations.
