It would appear that even the Brits are not immune to the Takata airbag scandal
According to the August 4 PRNewswire, the latest round of the National Highway Transportation Safety Administration (NHTSA) initiated Takata Airbag recall will eventually impact 108,000 select 2009-2011 Jaguar XF and 2007-2011 Land Rover Range Rover vehicles.
Jaguar/Land Rover assures consumers that no latter model vehicles are implicated in what has grown into the largest automotive related product recall in U.S. history.
To date, 68 million cars and light truck driving U.S. roads have been identified and recalled by various domestic and import manufacturers including this one, as a result of the possibility of humidity related degradation of the Takata airbag inflation canister containing* non desiccated ammonium nitrate propellant.”
While Jaguar, Land Rover reports no associated injury or death associated to their brand, they urge owners of the model years listed above to access www.SaferCar.Gov, enter your vehicle’s identification number for first wave inclusion in a recall action that will progress through 2019.

Given the size and complexity of the recall, replacement parts are not immediately available for the affected vehicles. Affected vehicles are being prioritized for repair -- split into four separate phases -- based on geographic zone and vehicle age.
