I drove 100 miles to Rivian’s plant, flew my drone, and captured footage of thousands of Amazon delivery vans and Rivian trucks. Could this be the future of electric vehicles?
Danny Jay took to the Facebook Group Apex Automator to share his latest sighting at the Rivian plant. They “were hundreds of rows of 100s of vans. It was honestly crazy”, Jay was passing through on a road trip when he decided to swing by the facility – and was stunned by the hundreds of Rivian vans and trucks seemingly awaiting delivery or transport.
"It appears there’s at least 10,000 vans, if not more, waiting to ship to Amazon, and maybe a thousand SUVs and trucks.Is this a good thing? Bad thing? Are they selling a ton of vans or none?

I feel that I see advantages…
I feel that I see advantages to both companies. Established strengths are on Tesla side but Rivian shows it is there for the long haul and customers have noticed. The disadvantage right now is Rivian's limited selection which Tesla already has now in the market. I am cheering on Rivian hoping it makes a profit this year and would take the gamble with them. I just hope Trump realizes the jobs Rivian can create and leaves them alone.

Wait until you find out that Amazon has another 20,000 of these vans already in its possession, and a cumulative order total of 100,000 vans, and since it's no longer exclusive to Amazon, anyone can order a van.

Well....wow. News from.... Year and a half ago or so?
Rivian partnered with Amazon to get capital to keep from folding and those vans saved them. Expect to see more. There's allot of major cities and thousands of rural cities and towns.... All will start seeing these. In AZ they are a staple... Everywhere, quiet fast and efficient.
I'd last money on Rivian. They took a right step. And with extensive Ford backing.... Which I have to admit, the Mach E sucked me in. Well designed inside and out. Everything where it needed to be.
