Success breeds competition and imitators. Tesla's CEO Elon Musk has stated that he thought one of the company’s biggest successes would be to see what Tesla could push the other auto companies into doing that they wouldn’t have done otherwise. And it is coming.
Well along comes the Quant. This car is different. This car isn’t Hydrogen. This car isn’t a Hybrid. This car isn’t slow. This car isn’t a gas car. Believe it or not, it is an Electric Car with a 920HP motor and 373 mile stated range. And look at the range.
Quant has 373 mile range.
Now this is too good to be true right? Is there a catch? We will get back to the awesome electric vehicle range in a minute but that is much better than that of the Tesla.
Lets look at the stated 920HP first! That’s faster than a McLaren P1 which only has 905HP! An EV (Electric Vehicle) with an almost 400 miles of range and with the horse power to beat a McLaren? I think some Tesla Insanity button fans might want to know more about this incredible machine. You can see a video of Quant in action below.
The technology behind this marvel is the nanoFlowCell technology that pumps positively charged ion water and negatively charged ionic water into the “battery” inside the car. The waste product is Ionic water dust. This runs on basically salt water. The company says that many gasoline refueling stations can be retrofitted easily to pump out the Ion charged water instead of gasoline and the evidence of the cars range indicate that refueling will not be something you will need to do very often.
Another question is will current Tesla owners want to upgrade to this power house? It has exceptional stats and it gets an A grade environmentally speaking so, this high end machine might give Elon Musk and his Tesla company a run for their money as this could be very disruptive.

I'm all for new technology, but it is a pretty major flaw that you have to have specialty gas stations to refill this car. EVs like a Tesla Model S can leave the garage full every day--no special filling station required. I even know people who charge their Tesla on a 110V plug (a 240V NEMA 14-50 is recommended).
