We can already hear you saying something to effect of: "This isn't a fair contest. The Ferrari is going to cream an Ambulance." But let's throw a few wrenches into this.
The folks at Shell brought in four-time Formula 1 world champion Sebastian Vettel for this race. But instead of having him drive 488 GTB, Shell put him behind the wheel of the ambulance. Taking the wheel of the Ferrari is emergency services driver Alex Knapton.
There are still some glaring issues such as the huge gap in power (about 544 horsepower) and ambulance weighing a few tons. But we'll admit that we were shocked by the result. The times set by the vehicles are just over six seconds apart.
