How do you update a sports car that generally well regarded? If you're Jaguar, you make subtitle changes.
For the 2018 model year, the F-Type gets a number of small updates. Changes for the exterior amount to new adaptive LED headlights and reshaped bumpers. The interior is where you can spot the changes which come in the form of the latest-generation of the Touch Pro infotainment system and lighter seats on certain models. Jaguar has also teamed up with action camera manufacturer GoPro to decelop an app called ReRun. This allows you to capture video from a GoPro camera and combines it with real-time performance data that can be downloaded and shared on a smartphone.
There will two new additions to F-Type lineup. First is the R-Dynamic edition which can be equipped with the either the 335 or 373 horsepower versions of the supercharged V6. This adds unique trim, 19 or 20-inch wheels; and a gloss black finish for various exterior elements. Second is the 400 Sport launch edition. Available for one year, the 400 Sport gets a retuned version of the supercharged V6 producing 395 horsepower, an upgraded chassis, larger brakes, and a set of 20-inch alloy wheels finished in a dark grey.
No word on pricing, but Jaguar says the updated F-Type will arrive at dealers sometime in the first quarter.
