Mercedes' AMG division is going crazy with new vehicle launches as they are on track to have 48 models by the end of this year. This week saw them introduce the next one.
This is the 2017 Mercedes-AMG GLE43 which will be debuting later this month at the LA Auto Show. For those keeping count, this is model number 9 in the AMG 43 family.
The GLE43 takes the place of the GLE400 and features the same twin-turbo 3.0L V6. But for the GLE43, power has increased by 33 horsepower and 30 pound-feet of torque for a total output of 362 hp and 384 lb-ft. This is paired with a nine-speed automatic and a tweaked version of the 4Matic all-wheel drive system. AMG has also added beefier brakes, revised steering, and a sportier suspension.
The exterior features an agressive body kit and a set of 20-inch wheels. Inside are a set of sport seats and unique trim finishes.
Mercedes will launch the GLE43 early next year. Pricing hasn't been announced at this time.
