Mercedes-Benz's showing at Detroit looks to be all about coupes. The E-Class Coupe will make its world debut, and a special edition of the S-Class Coupe will be unveiled.
The Night Edition takes the S-Class coupe and makes more sinister. A lot of the brightwork such as the outside mirrors, side sill panel inserts, and grille are blacked out. The front and rear aprons come courtesy of AMG, as do they 20-inch alloy wheels finished in black. The model featured here is finished in an optional “designo selenite grey magno” color.
For the interior, Mercedes will offer the choice of leather, Nappa leather, and AMG Nappa leather upholstery in a variety of colors. 'Night Edition' badging is on the steering wheel.
Globally, the Night Edition will be offered with two engines choices; a 3.0L V6 with 367 horsepower or a 4.7L V8 with 455 horsepower.
Expect more details when we get closer to the launch of the S-Class Night Edition next summer.
