New in 2025, Mustang Mach-E adds a heat pump for better climate control and improves BlueCruise.

Ford’s popular Mustang Mach-E is adding some interesting tweaks for 2025, improving the vehicle’s heat in the winter and adding automatic lane changes. The 2025 Mach-E is also getting a sportier looking version at a more affordable price. Some customers had complained about the car’s heat output. Ford says it has been listening to what its buyers want.

“We’ve built strong relationships with our customers over the last four years, and continue to make upgrades based on their feedback,” said Donna Dickson, Mustang Mach-E chief engineer. “We’re dedicated to giving them the best version of Mustang Mach-E possible, and that means giving them features they have been asking for, like the new heat pump and more interior space up front.”

Why The Mach-E is Adding a Heat Pump

One of the biggest concerns for many drivers is the drain that heating the vehicle can put on the battery. In many EVs, the heater can reduce the battery power and that affects range. It can be a major concern in areas like the Midwest with consistently cold weather as well as Mountain climates. Adding a heat pump should make it easier to warm up the Mach-E without having a major effect on range.

2025 Mach-E Adding a Sportier Look at a More Affordable Price

New for 2025, Mach-E buyers can get a sportier look without a huge price tag. The Sport Appearance Package allows buyers to get styling cues from Mustang Mach-E GT at a lower price point. The package includes the sportier front fascia and grille shield and red front Brembo brake calipers.  The sport package includes 19-inch Monochromatic High-Gloss Black-Painted wheels and black-painted door cladding.

The sport package upgrades the interior as well, adding red stitching throughout. All new Mach-Es will have a column mounted shifter replacing the dial shifter.

BlueCruise 1.5

The 2025 Ford Mach-E adds the very latest BlueCruise hands-free highway driving. BlueCruise’s newest feature is Automatic Lane Change. According to Ford, the new tech automates up to 45% of lane changes on an average drive, based on internal testing.

BlueCruise 1.5 will start to make a lane change if the vehicle ahead is slower than the set speed or if a vehicle is following too closely in the passing lane. BlueCruise forces the drivers to stay engaged helping eliminate accidents. New in 2025, Mach-E buyers can choose how they subscribe to BlueCruise. Buyers can choose a one-year plan or a long-term option. Buyers can also just try BlueCruise for 90 days if they wish.

More Mach-E Colors Mean More Fun

The 2025 Mach-E is adding three new exterior colors for an additional charge. Buyers can opt for a Molten Magenta Metallic, Velocity Blue Metallic or Desert Sand. Ford isn’t saying at this point how much the different colors will cost.

Buyers can still opt for the Mustang Mach-E GT Performance Upgrade as a factory option, or they can purchase the upgrade later through the FordPass app after delivery.

The 2025 Mustang Mach-E goes on sale in early 2025, starting at a manufacturer’s suggested retail price (MSRP) of $36,495 plus delivery fees.
