Ram is teasing the upcoming reveal of its 2025 Ram Heavy Duty models with photos of the new trucks. The Rebel looks leaner and meaner with a brand new grille!
Ram is teasing the unveiling of its 2025 Ram Heavy Duty lineup. Ram says they have gotten to the point that the engineering teams are conducting final testing on one of the most important performance attributes of our heavy haulers: cooling. Knowing that the trucks will be out testing, Ram is trying to head off hundreds of spy shots, instead, releasing photos of the new trucks. The actual reveal of the 2025 Ram Heavy Duty is supposed to be closer to the first of the year. I would put money on it debuting during the reimagined 2025 North American International Auto Show, in January. The 2025 Ram 1500 had a number of changes, I think we can expect similar upgrades in the 2025 Ram HDs.
The 2025 Ram Rebel HD Has an Intricate New Grille
Ram isn’t releasing any of the specs for the new trucks, only the photos. I imagine we will see the Rebel be the star of the HD models. When Ram unveiled the 2025 lineup for its light-duty trucks, it talked a lot about the importance of the Rebel. It also created a new Rebel X light-duty edition celebrating ten years of the truck designed for off-roading. We may see a similar tribute truck.
One feature that I’m sure off-roaders would love to see is a special version of cruise control that is debuting on the light-duty Rebel. “People who love off-roading will be amazed by the new Rough Road Cruise Control feature, available exclusively on Rebel X. The Rough Road Cruise Control allows the driver to set a cruise speed on a rugged, dirt road. The new system reads the terrain ahead of the truck hundreds of times per second to adjust suspension and add or remove weight to the steering wheel.” The cutout at the bottom of the grille could be for the lidar and radar that are necessary for that type of cruise control. Or the cutout could be just to modernize the design.
2025 Ram Rebel HD Has New LED Lights
In the photo, the 2025 Ram Rebel appears to have four LED headlights. Not only will the lights improve visibility at night but the multiple LEDS give the truck a more up-to-date appearance.
Tech Improvements
Again, Ram isn’t giving us any details but the 2025 Ram 1500 Rebel X features Uconnect 5 with a huge 14.5-inch touchscreen and a class-exclusive 10.25-inch passenger touchscreen. The screen is only visible to the front passenger. It allows the passenger to run a navigation system, view the truck’s outside cameras or simply watch their own entertainment. While the HD version may not get all of the tech upgrades right away, I believe Ram will make similar technology available for the HD trucks at some point.
We know the Rebel HD is a huge part of the 2025 Ram truck portfolio. We’ll have to wait for the full details on available powertrains, tech specs and fuel economy.
