The performance model of the crossover will deliver up to 557 horsepower and 648 lb.-ft. of torque. Chevrolet will also build a special pursuit-rated Police Pursuit Vehicle (PPV) model, trying to market to police fleets.
Chevrolet has revealed the all-electric 2024 Blazer EV. The automaker is hoping this crossover EV, with several different trim levels will be its breakthrough EV, drawing everyday drivers into the electric vehicle fold. The 2024 Chevrolet Blazer will have four different trim packages, capable of four different ranges. The Blazer SS performance model is designed to produce up to 557 horsepower and up to 648 lb.-ft. of torque. Much like the 2024 Chevrolet Silverado EV, the SS will offer a WOW (Wide Open Watts) mode enabling it to go 0-60 in less than 4 seconds.
“The Blazer EV SS has the soul of a true sports car,” said Scott Bell, vice president of Chevrolet. “And while it represents the pinnacle of performance for Chevy’s EV lineup, all models offer stirring capabilities that will surprise and delight true performance devotees.”

2024 Chevrolet Blazer EV Trim Options
- 1LT with a range of 247 miles starts at $44,995
- 2LT with a range of 293 miles starts at $47,595
- RS with a range of 320 miles starts at $51,995
- SS with a range of 298 miles starts at $65,995
It is important to point out that the less expensive 1LT will be the last to go on sale, not hitting the market until the first part of 2024. The 2024 Chevrolet Blazer EV 2LT and RS will go on sale in summer 2023. The SS will follow later in 2023.

Sleeker New Blazer Design
The Blazer EV is based on GM’s innovative Ultium Platform. It carries the athletic styling and performance cues inspired by the Camaro and Corvette. The Ultium platform allows the EV to have a slightly longer wheelbase, giving the EV version a sleeker look.
“The Blazer EV’s design evokes the same sort of emotional response as Chevy’s performance cars,” said Phil Zak, executive director, Chevrolet Design. “There’s true SUV functionality, but inside and out, it has the sort of passionate proportions and feel that make you want to slide behind the wheel and explore what’s beyond the horizon. It’s a vehicle that looks great from every angle and beckons you to drive.”
The distinctive trims each have their own characters. The LT features a monochromatic appearance and standard 19-inch wheels. The RS is the sportier model with a black grille and other black accents, along with standard 21-inch wheels. The RS is also the model with the best range. The SS performance model is the most aggressive looking, with a unique front grille, two-tone color scheme featuring a black roof and A-pillars that complement the Blazer EV’s body color. The SS rides on larger 22-inch wheels.
The Blazer has several technology upgrades including: 11.5 kW level 2 (AC) charging and standard DC public fast-charging capability of up to 190 kW. The Blazer should be able to add approximately 78 miles of range in just 10 minutes of quick charging. The Blazer has a large, intuitive 17.7-inch-diagonal customizable infotainment touchscreen. The 2024 Chevrolet Blazer EV will also offer GM’s Super Cruise hands-free driving technology for compatible roads. Super Cruise has been rated the best hands-free driving technology in multiple tests. The Blazer also comes equipped with a suite of GM’s latest driver assist and safety features.
Pursuing the Police Fleet Business
Chevrolet will offer a specially developed Police Pursuit Vehicle version of the 2024 Blazer. Selling vehicles to municipalities is lucrative because most cities require a fairly large fleet. GM has done extremely well with its Chevrolet Tahoe PPV models. Many cities nationwide are looking to go electric because of the skyrocketing gasoline prices. The Blazer EV PPV will be based on the SS version and will have the largest Ultium battery in the lineup. The PPV will be available in rear wheel drive or with a dual motor all-wheel drive system. The PPV will use the Blazer SS high performance front Brembo brakes to help ensure short stopping distances. The purpose-built Blazer EV PPV model features a police specific interior designed for police officers with ample room to accommodate emergency equipment and gear.
“The possibilities for the Blazer EV’s commercial and law enforcement applications are almost endless,” said Ed Peper, vice president of GM Fleet. “Along with zero-tailpipe-emissions performance, it reduces the number and frequency of certain maintenance requirements typically associated with fleet vehicles."
Chevrolet will also offer different Blazer EV range and trim packages for other fleets like the rental car companies.
Chevrolet will continue to build the gasoline version of the Blazer. All of the Blazer vehicles will be built at GM’s Ramos Arizpe, Mexico, production facility, which manufactures the current Blazer.
