The engineers at Ferrari are reportedly working on a new 7.3L V12 that will make an appearance in a variety of upcoming Italian supercars including the F70 - the model slated to replace the flagship Ferrari Enzo by the end of this calendar year complete with a hybrid drive system and a power output that could creep over the 900hp mark.

In 20 years or so our cities could start seeing automated self-driving RoboCars driving themselves around, relieving us of drudgery, reducing traffic accident rates, enabling better use of the land tied up by roads, making electric cars more practical, and generally saving the world. Google's Self-Driving Car project is today using modified Toyota Prius's to prototype the robotic cars of the future.

Hyundai and Kia are being sued by Paice LLC, who claims that the automakers violated patent laws by using the company's 1994 patent for hybrid technology. Paice was famously involved in an eight-year long battle with Toyota from 2002-2008 over the same allegations.
