Honda, particularly hard-hit by its reliance on Takata as its sole airbag supplier for years, has been forced to recall vehicles again that have already by touched by the major airbag recall. The automaker has been forced to recall 19,000 vehicles that have already had their airbag inflators replaced to recall the vehicles again for new replacements.

Honda has recalled more than 118,000 2019 CR-V models due to problems with the driver-side airbag. According to papers filed with the National HIghway Traffic Safety Administration, the routing of the airbag's wiring harness is the issue. It is routed near the steering wheel core which may have burrs or other imperfections that can cause the airbag to fire randomly potentially hurting the driver.

Off to the Electric Chair! Unlike other legacy car companies with their so called 5 and 10 year plans toward electrification, this is how I know VW Group is pretty damn serious about meaning what it says about an electric future. Its lead luxury brand Audi plans on electrifying or eliminating some of its iconic signature vehicles way sooner, and in doing so, it’ll send a shakeup message to the luxury car market that electric cars are now the new marque to be judged.
