The IIHS has announced the results of their new headlight ratings test for the top trucks in the US market and the Ford F150, the Ram 1500, the Chevrolet Silverado, the Toyota Tundra and the Nissan Titan all did fairly poorly in the test – making you wonder how seriously a test can be taken when almost every vehicle in a popular segment fails the test.

General Motors has finally announced the Nürburgring lap time for the 2017 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 and, as expected, it is the quickest American muscle car to hit the famed German road course – running a 7:29.60 – comfortably beating the previous best time by the Camaro and ranking 6th all-time among American production vehicles.

A pair of camouflaged Chevrolet Camaro test cars which we believe are new Z/28 models were recently spotted testing in Virginia and what a test car being seen on the road really isn’t big news – the key fact here is that they were being tested with and without the huge rear wing that we saw in the infamous Z/28 Nürburgring crash video from earlier this year.

Although the new 1LS trimline is not yet available on Chevrolet.com, I have gone through and compared the prices for the 2016 and 2017 Camaro in LT and SS trim along with the announced pricing for the 1LS, finding that most of the hardtop models cost more for the new model year while all of the convertibles cost less for 2017.

The 2017 Chevrolet Camaro dealer order guide has revealed that the 1LS trimline is returning as the low cost base model for the GM muscle car, but on the customer end of things, new 1LS trimline is just the 1LT trimline with a new name and no automatic transmission option.
