The 2017 Chevrolet Camaro dealer order guide has revealed that the 1LS trimline is returning as the low cost base model for the GM muscle car, but on the customer end of things, new 1LS trimline is just the 1LT trimline with a new name and no automatic transmission option.

General Motors has announced the official power numbers for the 2017 Chevrolet Silverado HD with the 6.6L Duramax diesel and after lingering far below the competition over the past few years, the GM diesel finally has the power to properly compete with the Ford PowerStroke and the Ram Cummins – although we still don’t have towing or hauling numbers for the new Chevy.

General Motors has refiled the trademark application for the LT5 engine nomenclature, presumably for the upcoming Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 or perhaps the long-rumors mid-engine C8 Corvette – both of which would likely pack more power than the 650 horsepower LT4 in the Corvette Z06 and the Camaro ZL1.

A check of recent truck forums finds that a number of owners of 2015 Chevy Silverados are having problems with paint flaking or peeling off. The problems are serious enough that people are taking their complaints to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, because they aren’t receiving help from the dealerships.

One of my favorite moments in the history of cars is the muscle car wars in the mid 60's and early 70's. Detroit's assembly lines were pumping out high horsepower cars that were marketed towards the youth of America (Baby Boomers). The race was on to see who could be the fastest.
