A new video of a turbocharged 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray is currently making its rounds across the various social networks and while we have heard plenty of other C7 Corvette’s in action – I believe that this might just be the meanest, nastiest sounding new Stingray that I’ve heard thus far.

Hennessey Performance has released a short clip on Instagram of their 1,000 horsepower 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray blasting down a Texas highway at speeds that are likely way more than double the posted speed limit – with hoards of Texas State Troopers gathered around to watch the super-tuned C7 in action.

A recent report indicates that the Chevrolet Corvette Stingray will soon come equipped with an all new 8-speed automatic transmission that will make the C7 Corvette even more efficient while also improving the performance capabilities of this self-shifting Chevy sports car – likely making the best performing “base” Corvette of all time even better.

While we were busy swooning over the first teaser image of the 2015 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 that General Motors issued early last week, we almost missed a key bit of wording that leads me to believe that the company doesn’t intend to build a C7 ZR1 – meaning that the next generation Z06 would replace both the previous Z06 and the more powerful ZR1.

On Wednesday we learned that the 2015 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 will debut at the 2014 North American International Auto Show in Detroit and thanks to an image leaked via Instagram – we know that the C7 Z06 will pack a new supercharged engine named the LT4 that will bring the Z06 moniker new levels of performance.

Although the Ford Mustang was able to claim its second straight monthly sales title in November, the Chevrolet Camaro appears to be well on its way to claiming a 4th straight annual sales title in the segment with the Mustang some 4,000+ units behind heading into the last month of the year.

General Motors has announced that when the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Convertible launches in early 2014, there will be a limited number of “Premier Edition” models that are fitted with a long list of features, Lime Rock Green exterior paint with a tan top and a hefty price tag – although the many features and the sheer exclusivity of this package makes it well worth the price.

General Motors has stopped accepting new orders for the 2014 Chevrolet Camaro in 1LE and ZL1 trim because the Goodyear high performance tires aren’t safe in winter conditions – which is probably a bummer for those Camaro buyers who live somewhere that doesn’t have a real winter.
