On the morning of March 28th, the end of an era was celebrated in Kentucky as the last 2013 Chevrolet Corvette rolled off of the Bowling Green Assembly line – marking the official end of the C6 generation of the fabled Chevrolet Corvette as the plant prepares to launch production of the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray in less than a month.

The talks of cold weather hurting electric vehicle driving range doesn’t seem to be having much impact on the sales of the Chevrolet Volt as the Volt once again comfortably outsold the Nissan Leaf in February 2013 – marking the second month in a row and the 12th time in the last 14 months where the electric Chevy was the top dog in American EV sales.

We have looked at the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Coupe from just about every angle now including the likelihood of a future C7 Z06 and ZR1 but according to the folks at Motor Trend – there is a non-Stingray Corvette coming for 2015 that will offer a unique look, lower performance and a lower price.

The folks from Hennessey Performance have recently announced their intents for the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray including a collection of performance parts capped off by a variety of forced induction packages – with the top of the line Hennessey C7 Corvette expected to hit the 1,000 horsepower mark.
