While the Accord plug-in will allow driver’s to commute fossil-fuel free for 10 miles without recharging, most Eco conscious consumers will opt for the Hybrid’s 50 mpg city rating.
It’s simply more Eco-nomical.

This two seat, tech laden pocket rocket takes the age old concept of sports driving fun and puts a green spin on it. The 2014 Honda CR-Z sports hybrid coupe has taken supercharged gasoline injected piston power and combined it with the superior torque of an electric motor to produce a pocket coupe that will blow the doors off of the competition.

Way back in 1996 Honda introduced the Valkyrie to a very crowded cruiser class dominated by Harley Davidson. While those that owned the Valkyrie loved it, the Hog crowd shunned it as being a bit too refined. Stripped to the bone and sharing engines with Goldwing, Valkyrie returns to the market for 2014. Watch out Harley Davidson.

While I don’t recommend scraping your pride and joy fossil fueled toy today, the future in automotive technology is hydrogen fuel cell powered electric propulsion. As demonstrated by the Honda FCEV Concept, the future is bright and sustainable. I find the concept’s line to be awe inspiring. Practical? Not so much so.

As reported Wednesday from the Tokyo Auto Show, Honda unveiled the Vezel mini- crossover. Tiny by any measure, the Vezel will be produced in Mexico sharing 2015 Fit components. Scheduled for production in the Spring of 2014, the question for me is. Does North America need or want another urban mini crossover?

While you won't see an Amaze diesel powered sedan in America ( yet) Honda has introduced the low cost 2013 sedan to India with great success. Base priced at $14,600 and claiming 70 mpg, Honda of India sold 50,000 units in its first 2 month of production. Is there pent up consumer demand for an efficient, well built metric clean diesel powered sedan in America?

Honda’s top selling model line in America has gone green, and the reviews coming in from the auto press to date is unanimously positive and congratulatory. Honda has done it again with a midsize sedan that approaches the estimated mpg of the grand champion of hybrids, the Toyota Prius.

For those 'old school' Made in America automotive enthusiasts, read on as 28,000 of your friends and neighbors work for Honda manufacturing with an additional 148,000 employed by the Honda brand dealership networks and distributors. Honda of North America had no "measurable" manufacturing related layoffs during the economic meltdown. No other automotive based manufacture in the U.S. can make that claim.
