The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has opened a preliminary investigation into the Infiniti M45 sedans from the 2003 and 2004 model year over a concern that the fuel gauge components may go bad and read incorrectly – possibly leading to stalling and increasing the risks of an accident.

You read that title correctly – the NHTSA has announced a recall of 2011 and 2012 model year Nissan 370Z coupes and convertibles along with 2011 and 2012 Infiniti G37 coupes over a concern that the power windows may not be calibrated properly and should a body part be in the window when it is attempting to go up, it could cause a “pinch injury”.

The previous generation Infiniti M56 was always a likable luxury performance sedan. It had a sense of oomph to it while providing a luxurious, comfortable ride. The one thing it lacked was a real sense of design but not so with the 2012 Infiniti M56. Gone is the bland exterior that was not in keeping with the rest of Infiniti's sharp looks.

The new vehicle will join the luxury line next spring. Also announced was the launch of the "Power of 7", an social media campaign hoping to build a buzz about the JX Concept in advance of its global reveal at the 2011 Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance on August 18.
