The official word has surfaced that there will only be 250 examples of the 2017 Ford GT supercar built annually for the entire world, guaranteeing sales success but also guaranteeing that this car will never pose a real threat to the likes of the Chevrolet Corvette or Dodge Viper in terms of real world performance credentials.

The 2015 Dodge Challenger and Dodge Charger powered by the 707 horsepower Hellcat Hemi remain locked out of the order banks at dealerships around the country, but in an effort to meet the crazy high demand of these record-setting muscle cars, Dodge has ordered 1,000 examples of the supercharged Hemi to be built – although it is unclear what number that 1,000 is being added to.

When the Ford Shelby GT350 Mustang was first introduced last year, the Motor Company promised that the new flat plane V8 engine would deliver at least 500 horsepower and 400lb-ft of torque, but new comments made by a Ford exec indicate that it will be at least 520 horsepower.

General Motors offered up their newest batch of details on the 2016 Chevrolet Camaro today and the most important bit of information is that the 6th generation Camaro will weigh at least 200 pounds less than the comparable outgoing model – which could put it in the same weight range as the 2015 Ford Mustang.
