Carslane has published a story discussing the possibility of electric Tesla pickup truck and speculating that the concept will be unveiled later this year and the truck will be available in 2017. I think Tesla may eventually come up with a pickup truck for reasons discussed in this article, but with the huge backlog of Model 3 I am unsure if Tesla may introduce a pickup truck in 2017.

The Ram 1500 Rebel is the newest Moparized vehicle, joining the Dodge Challenger, the Dodge Charger, the Dodge Dart and the Chrysler 300 on the list of vehicles given the factory upgrade treatment, but as has been the case in the past – the Mopar 16 Ram will be limited to just 500 units.

Ford Motor Company hasn’t announced exactly when the 2017 F150 pickups with the new 10-speed automatic transmission will reach dealerships, but the image above – showing the shift indicator area of the F150 gauge cluster – leads me to believe that the arrival of the industry’s first 10-speed gearbox cant be far off.

Over the past year, I have had the pleasure of testing a variety of new Ford F150 pickups with the aluminum bodies and while I wasn’t dropping paver bricks from 5 feet in the air, I found that the cargo area of all of these trucks stood up as well to my own tests as steel bodied trucks – including my own personal vehicle.

Ford Motor Company has issued a recall for select 2013-2014 Ford F150 pickups equipped with the premium 3.5L EcoBoost V6 over a concern that the master cylinder could be leaking – leading to a possible loss of braking forces and an increased risk of an accident.
