Just hours ago Tesla made a change in Made-in-China model Y's specs, increasing the range from 525 km to 545 km, which is an increase of 12.5 miles of range in the Model Y. But, Tesla also substantially decreased the acceleration from 5.6 s to 6.9 seconds from 0 to 60.

Tesla MIC ("Made In China") has just achieved amazing production numbers. It basically produced 25,864 Model Y units and 24,394 Model 3 units, totaling 50,258 cars in September 2021. That would basically mean more than 600K cars/year coming out of Giga Shanghai alone, another outstanding achievement for Tesla.

As per Tesla´s Q3 report, the company is switching over to LFP (Lithium Iron Phospate) batteries for all of its standard range Model Y and Model 3 cars. Tesla also intends to bring LFP battery production to the same locations where it manufactures its vehicles (Giga Texas, Giga Berlin), as per the latest information available.

When first announced, the Tesla Semi was said to have amazing features: for starters, a range of over 500 miles (800 km) under highway conditions; without a load it will accelerate from 0 to 60 miles in 5 seconds and with a load of 80,219 lbs (36,287 kg) it will do it in 20 seconds. This is more than twice as fast as a diesel truck. It can maintain a speed of 65 mph (105 km/h) going up a 5% climb fully loaded, whereas a diesel truck can only maintain 45 mph (72 km/h) under the same conditions.

We have news that there is going to be a new auto park feature coming for the Tesla Model Y and Model 3. This will allow one to easily park, especially during periods of dense traffic. However, there are some very profound implications of a Tesla being able to auto park that I'll mention as well.

As of today, the Tesla Model Y is available for reservations in the UK, with the first deliveries scheduled for early 2022. The Model Y is set to go head-to-head into direct competition with other performance electric SUVs, including Ford's Mustang Mach-E, Audi E-tron Sportback, BMW iX3 and Mercedes-Benz EQC, but at very different price tags. All British right-hand-drive cars will be shipped from Tesla’s Shanghai factory in China, which is also where UK-spec Tesla Model 3s are produced.
