When I think of SUVs, I think of vehicles like the Jeep Wrangler, Ford Bronco, or Mercedes G-wagon. I typically don’t give much thought to Volvo, but I really should. Volvo’s XC40 Recharge is not just a handsome SUV, it’s got plenty of features that make it one of the safest SUVs on the market, and it’s faster than the Volkswagen ID.4.

Volvo Cars N.A. has recalled more than 40,000 2016 XC90 crossovers and 2019 S60 to fix coolant and suspension problems. In the coolant problem, a cracked coolant pipe may leak into the catalyst heat shield, causing a fire. In the suspension problem, rear toe link nuts may not be tightened properly, resulting in handling problems.

Here’s another ex-Ford that got spit out by the blue oval to go on with life and do better without them, since partnering up with Chinese Geely, Volvo is whipping out some amazing products even a new division, and the baby XC40 electric is a prime example. A BEV competes with Jaguar iPace, Audi eTron, and Tesla Model X, all at Model 3 prices. Another ex-Ford in your future. Not bad!
