One of the first Tesla Cybertruck owners, Ben, posted his short review of the Cybertruck's famous Gigawiper. He then commented and said in hard rain conditions it worked better than in the Tesla Model X.
One of the first Cybertruck owners, who tweets as Ben on X, reviewed Tesla Cybertruck's famous Gigawiper, saying it's pretty good and he doesn't feel that Gigawiper's speed is slow. I am watching it and thinking this is very impressive. By the way, it looks very big, but it doesn't look like it's affecting the visibility. Do you think so, guys?
By the way, Cybertruck just bacme the most-American made truck, with 90% of parts produced in North America. For comparison, Ford F-150 is apparently only 30%, when it comes to parts production source being from North America.
I asked Ben about his initial impressions of Cybertruck's Gigawiper. In an exclusive comment to Torque News, he wrote, "at first, when seeing photos online of the wiper, I was skeptical and thought it looked silly. I still certainly think it stands out, but I am shocked with how efficient it is. In the video, it wasn’t even at max speed! Been driving a model X recently and could easily noticed I prefer the larger wiper."
Someone in the comments asked this question, writing "It looks really big like it may affect visibility, is that the case?" Ben responded saying "Not at all! We were saying it worked better in hard rain conditions than the model x!"
Now, guys look at the dashboard of the Cybertruck. It's massive. One person on X asked a question, writing "That dashboard is so massive, it makes me wonder as to why Franz didn’t make the frunk larger."
To this, Ben responded saying: "I personally think it’s because the AC system is underneath the dash. If you look at the shape of the nose, it’s much shorter than all the other cars, where the AC system is housed. The frunk is basically just a big bench seat!"
So guys, here are 3 questions that viewers may have about this video, along with discussion prompts to get the conversation started in the comments section:
Does the size and design of the Giga wiper actually affect visibility in any way? Ben seems to think it's an improvement, but it's such a unique design that it's hard to imagine it wouldn't have some drawbacks in certain situations. Any thoughts?
The video mentions that the massive dashboard takes up a lot of space. Do you think this is a good use of space? Ben suggests that the AC system is underneath the dash, but couldn't Tesla have found a more space-efficient way to design the AC system without sacrificing so much dashboard real estate? What are your thoughts on the dashboard design? Would you prefer a more traditional layout, or do you like the futuristic look of the Cybertruck's interior?
Overall, what are your impressions of the Cybertruck based on this video? Ben seems to be a fan, but there are still a lot of unknowns about this truck. What are you most excited about? What are your biggest concerns? Would you consider buying a Cybertruck yourself?
I hope these questions spark some interesting discussion in the comments section. Let's continue the discussion in the comments section below, please.
