Toyota will give the 2023 RAV4 SUV in all its versions the possibility of receiving the appearance kit called Adventure Offroad II that gives the SUV a "black mask" and more improvements in this tone to contrast with that of the bodywork. Toyota will also add more technology to the 2023.

We are learning that for the next year, Toyota will update the RAV4, starting in Japan, with a special cosmetic package called Adventure Offroad II that gives the truck a more rugged, off-road look, as well as additional technology details.

The Roughest and Two-Tone Aesthetic

The 2023 Toyota RAV4 will have some body elements available that will give it a more robust style than anything the line has ever had.

  • Black Grill
  • Black front bumper that extends to the sides and integrates the lights
  • Lower protections and black air intakes
  • Side mirror caps in black
  • Wheel arches also in the same tone
  • Thicker lower side guards
  • Black mica for the roof and all black studs
  • 18-inch wheels in matte black
  • Tailgate trim and bumper in black.

Some of these pieces are painted in a special Gori Gori Back shade that makes them textured and more scratch resistant. This will give the 2023 Toyota RAV4 a two-tone body, although Toyota will continue to offer the traditional single-tone options as well.

Sports Cabin

inside the 2023 RAV4, the upholstery and other elements have orange-tone stitching and the same color is applied to the edges of the storage compartments, along with the Offroad Adventure badge on the dashboard.

More Technology For All RAV4

The upgrade for Toyota's SUV kicks off with a new 12.3-inch digital dashboard and 10.5-inch infotainment touchscreen with new software and improved navigation, a digital rearview mirror with video recording capability, the front and rear cameras on an SD card. And in safety, the Toyota Safety Sense system was improved in terms of detecting vehicles and pedestrians when turning.

Same Mechanics, but With Optional upgrades

There are no changes to the Toyota RAV4's powertrains for 2023, it stays with the 2-litre engine and hybrid and plug-in hybrid variants, the latter with a 2.4-litre engine and 4x2 or 4x4 drive options.

Also, new will be some off-road-focused options including 225/60 Falken grippy off-road tires, bi-color LED fog lights and a 10mm suspension lift for increase ground clearance. As a key fact, the entry-level versions of the RAV4 will only have the halogen headlights instead of the LED units.

If you have any special opinions about the 2023 Toyota RAV4, please share your opinion in the comments section below. Thanks for reading and sharing in social media.

By the way, big updates are coming to the 2023 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid as well.

I love my 2013 RAV4, I only wish they weren’t so high priced so I could get a new one. I am retired and people who are retired can’t afford some new cars.

Here in Hawaii it's about a year. If someone buys another car instead of waiting or their financing falls through on delivery day. They mad scramble for both customers in the store and people on the wait list. Some times you get lucky. I bought mine this year. 48.5 MPG is my average on the dash. I fill up and it says a full tank is 670 miles to empty. That's why everyone wants a Rav4 Hybrid.

I hope they put an aluminum skid plate in them. The cheap plastic one rips off when you drive in snow.

Will the new ravs resolve the leaking in the roof? The very flimsy plastic washers aren’t quality products to put on an expensive vehicle. We’ve had an issue with ours and Toyota doesn’t want to cover it under warranty because there aren’t enough complaints to issue a recall.

Get rid of the noisy 4 banger and more horsepower on the non plug in hybrids..
Looks like I will have to drive my 08 V6 Rav4 a little longer.

My 40k 22 RAV4 hybrid has bad road and wind noise,no glove box or puddle lights.but,I still love it! However my 2010 Prius had the puddle and glove box lights and a much quieter Hy way ride!
,Just saying.

I wish they would change the shape of th headlights so the face does not look angry...more rounded headlights and grill with corners that don't droop downward

Please, please, illuminate the lock/unlock door buttons! This is a safety issue that needs to be seriously addressed!
Also illuminate the window open/close buttons. Also a safety issue.
Please seriously address the cable cover - winter in the northern US means salt & slush on the roads. No one can afford the cable repair!
