Ford Motor Company hasn’t offered up the official pricing information for the 2015 Ford Mustang just yet, but thanks to a member of The Mustang Source who is also a dealership employee, we have our first good look at a great many of the S550 Mustang options – and what those upgrades will cost.
First of all, this early option information for the 2015 Ford Mustang lists choices for four different trimlines – including the base V6 (P8A), the EcoBoost models (P8T), the GT (P8C) and the 50 Year Edition (P8R). No pricing on those models is included, nor is there any detail as to what is included in the various packages, but we do get a good first look at what the upgrades for the 2015 Mustang will cost when it arrives later this year.
Details are limited on the options for the 2015 Ford Mustang in base V6 form, but we do know that there will be a preferred equipment package that retails for $995. We also know that the 2015 Mustang will be offered in 11 colors, with Competition Orange, Guard Metallic, Deep Impact Blue, Magnetic Metallic, Race Red, Black, Ingot Silver and Oxford White being the no charge colors while Triple Yellow (shown above) costs $495 extra, Ruby Red costs $395 and Wimbledon White is available only with the 50 Year Anniversary package. Interior options include natural grain leather seats in either Redline or Ebony (with no charge, so it must be in a preferred equipment package), leather seats in Saddle, Ebony or Ceramic (also no charge, so also in a package) or Recaro leather in Reline or Ebony – which will set you back $1,595.
There is quite a bit more information available for options when it comes to the new 2015 Ford Mustang EcoBoost model. In addition to the $1,795 preferred equipment package, the 6-speed automatic transmission will add $1,195 to the final price, Adaptive Cruise Control adds the same $1,195, 20 inch machined aluminum wheels cost $1,295, navigation costs $795 and there are two interesting and mysterious packages for the EcoBoost Mustang – the EcoBoost Performance Package for $1,995 and the 50th Anniversary Package for $1,595.
The full available list of option prices are as follows: EcoBoost options:
Enhanced Security Package - $395
6-speed Automatic Transmission – $1,195
Adaptive Cruise Control – $1,195
18” Painted Aluminum Wheels – $155
20” Machined Aluminum Wheels - $1,295
All Weather Floor Mats - $95
Spare Tire Package - $195
EcoBoost Performance Package - $1,995
Premium Trim – $395
Reverse Parking Asst – $295
Navigation – $795
50th Anniversary Package – $1,595
The initial option list for the 2015 Ford Mustang GT is a bit longer, include many of the options of the EcoBoost models and some GT-specific features. Things like the 6-speed automatic transmission, navigation, adaptive cruise control and the 50th Anniversary Edition package are all the same, but Mustang GT buyers will get to select the pricier GT Performance Package, a pricier Preferred Equipment Package ($1,795) and a trio of rear differential gear sets including 3.15, 3.55 and 3.73 options. The 3.55 gears are the only option with a price ($395) so I am led to believe that the 3.15 is the standard gear and the 3.73 gears are part of the GT Performance Package. The full early option list for the 2015 Mustang GT is as follows:
Enhanced Security Package - $395
6-speed Automatic Transmission – $1,195
Adaptive Cruise Control – $1,195
18” Painted Aluminum Wheels – $155
19” Painted Aluminum Wheels - $995
20” Machined Aluminum Wheels - $1,295
3.15 Differential – NC
3.55 Limited Slip Differential - $395
3.73 Limited Slip Differential – NC (Package)
All Weather Floor Mats - $95
Spare Tire Package - $195
GT Performance Package - $2,495
Premium Trim – $395
Reverse Parking Asst – $295
Navigation – $795
50th Anniversary Package – $1,595
These are all the option details that we have right now on the 2015 Ford Mustang, but with the massive amount of interest for very obvious reasons, I would expect full official pricing news from Ford within the next few months. In the meantime, a big TorqueNews thumbs up to Jeff Greenly (screen name 95FordGT) from TheMustangSource.com for giving us all something to chew on.
Update: The information from The Mustang Source seems to have come down so Im wondering if the member didnt post TOO much information.
