A window sticker for a 2018 Ford Mustang Bullitt has surfaced online, suggesting that the famed Bullitt Mustang will return for the 2018 model year – supporting rumors from earlier this year that there was a new special edition dark green Mustang on the way.
Earlier this year, a Ford Motor Company video featuring Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson offered what many people believed to be a hint as to the pending arrival of the new Bullitt Mustang. In that video, there was artwork in the background behind The Rock showing what appeared to be concept drawings of a new Ford Mustang in Bullitt trim and in other Ford marketing materials, a past Bullitt Mustang was also featured – both of which lead many people to believe that there is a new Bullitt Mustang on the way.
Update on this topic: Bullitt Mustang Update: Ford Says Window Sticker isn't Real.
However, since that video and the marketing materials were introduced early this year, there has been no real information to confirm plans for a Ford Mustang Bullitt – until now.
As usual, the folks at Mustang6g.com have dug up some information on an unreleased car and this time, it is the window sticker for a 2018 Ford Mustang Bullitt GT, complete with all of the details which we would expect in a for-sale Bullitt tribute car.
The 2018 Ford Mustang Bullitt GT Window Sticker
The image of the 2018 Ford Mustang Bullitt GT window sticker posted on Mustang6g.com is relatively small and a bit grainy, but if you zoom way in, there correct details are all there. Highland Green Metallic is a dark green, just like the Bullitt movie car and it has rear quarter window louvers and a faux rear gas cap, just like the Bullitt movie car. In short, if there is a Bullitt Mustang coming for 2018, the window sticker will very likely include these features.
Where this 2018 Ford Mustang Bullitt GT window sticker becomes a little odd is in the Equipment Group details. There is a unique equipment group listed, but there is no breakdown in pricing whatsoever. There is a total MSRP of $56,080, which would make it considerably more expensive than the “normal” Mustang GT, but if the new Bullitt is essentially a dressed up, loaded up Mustang GT – a price in the $56k range would make sense.
Again, this window sticker was posted on an enthusiast forum, but when you look at all of the things which the Mustang6g team has uncovered in the past few years, information from that site has become the next best thing to official when it comes to unreleased Ford Mustang information.
So while this isn’t an official sticker, if Ford Motor Company did print this (and it does look legit), it looks as though there will be a new Bullitt Mustang GT coming for 2018 and if that date is correct – it shouldn’t be long before it is formally introduced.
