Safe Skies is the new sponsor for the FAS Lane Racing car that is entered in NASCAR's Wonderful Pistachio 400 Sprint Cup race at Richmond International Raceway on Saturday.
FAS's No. 32 Ford Fusion will be driven by Mike Bliss. Safe Skies will not be the only sponsor, but will be the primary sponsor for the car.
Safe Skies is a provider of luggage locks and bills itself as having "the industry’s largest selection of TSA accepted and recognized luggage locks."
“Safe Skies is proud and grateful for the opportunity to join the NASCAR family and to partner with FAS Lane Racing,” said David Tropp, founder of Safe Skies. “Frank Stoddard and his team are renowned for their professionalism, winning record and competitive nature, and we hope this is the start of a long-term relationship.”
“We are proud to welcome Safe Skies to the FAS Lane Racing family,” said Frank Stoddard, team owner of FAS Lane Racing. “A traditionally exciting and competitive night race, the Wonderful Pistachio 400 is considered the one last race to make the chase and we look forward to putting forth a solid race weekend on and off the track for Safe Skies.”
Safe Skies has been searching for a car to sponsor for some time and said it believes it has now found "the perfect fit." FAS Lane, headed by Stoddard, a 14-time winning NASCAR Sprint Cup crew chief, was established just this year and fields the No. 32 U.S. Chrome Ford Fusion for Terry Labonte, Mike Skinner, Ken Schrader, Mike Bliss (pictured) and Patrick Carpentier.
